Yeah, this was one game. It's silly to expect Martin to score so poorly much more often.

The more notable thing was how awful the defense was with him in the rotation.

At least his debut was a lot better than Jamison.

There is still no doubt in my mind that we made a nice trade. Hopefully, Martin will adapt to this new offense and be inserted into the starting lineup.

I'm also hoping Hill can show RA his potential. He is raw talent, and a raw talent we could use for next season.

This season he's shooting 40% from the field, I expect to see plenty more 3/16, 3/12, 4/15 nights from him.

Stacy is on a mission, he HAD to have an impressive debut. Remember, he is working for another BIG pay day and also wants to prove to everyone that he still has game. NYK has Lee and Gallo, Tmac will run the offense in NYK and will be able to shoot whenever he wants.

On the flip-side, Kevin Martin wants to FIT in with his new squad, he doesn't want to dominate the ball. He has the ability to take 20+ shots a game and score 20+ a night but he isn't trying to do that just yet. He clearly had first game jitters, his shot just wasn't falling in. He shot 3-16 and had 14 points...imagine if he had gone 9-16 atleast. 6x2=12 12+14=26.

Kings fans warned us about martin and how he hasn't been himself coming back from the fractured wrist injury.

Then you're going to have to see a lot more 6/11, 5/9, and 7/12 games to balance out those poor shooting games.

    Good math, guy.

Thanks for the video Clutch! I'm sure that Martin will be a great contributor to our team. I saw flashes of his speed and creativity that are going to be very valuable.

I saw this because I was not focusing on how his play stacked up to some overpaid big-name guy who just got shipped off to New York. I am able to admit that THAT SHIP HAS SET SAIL. That train has left the station. Those days are gone. That book is closed. That story has been written. That chest is locked and buried.

I was just rooting for my team and I see a lot of potential.

I'm not going to waste my time BEATING MY HEAD AGAINST A BRICK WALL like apparently EVERYONE else on Clutchfans is planning on. Two points I'd like to leave with you brainless knee-jerk McGrady "fans":

    1. Stacy is one of the worst, most uncreative pejorative nicknames I have ever seen.
    2. Considering it has been used over 1000,000,000 times and that fat old drama train has left the station, can we LET IT GO?

Holy crap, EVERY SINGLE ************* THREAD turns into a bunch of stupid Stacy-hating crackers arguing with a bunch of can't-let-go apologists. GIVE IT A REST. Move on with your lives. Turn on some music. Get a girlfriend.

We're all just Rockets fans again.

Besides, do you people have no standards for useful conversation?

Sadly, that was 33% of his field goals for the night. Hopefully he will do better tomorrow.

    TMac played well today.

But it's only a matter of time before he becomes disillusioned with the game of basketball again, whether it be after a prolonged injury or a harsh criticism from a newspaper or his organization questioning the legitimacy of his intensity.

    It's bound to happen.

Will it be in the next 28 games? Maybe. Maybe not.

Will it be midway through the season when he gets a full MLE contract or maybe more next season? Probably.

He's hungry. That's for sure. He clearly wanted to play well tonight.

No one questioned his talent. We all saw him do things that were simply magnificent. But did he ever sustain it long enough to produce a winning team?

    The answer is no.

No, but his career FG% of 45% is not too shabby.

Thank you napalm. Finally somebody said it.

McGrady hasn't been a part of this team for what... 3 months now? When the hell are we going to let it go?

I'm guessing we're going to let it go on December 12, 2012.

    Maybe.
