IF tmac is still at a level around kevmart's level right now...(realizing that as bad tmac is looking on defense, kevin martin isn't a lockdown defender)... is trading landry for 1 swap+1pick+1bad contract worth it?
The key point is McGrady's love of isolation and lack of moving without the ball. That's not effective in Triangle Offense. That's not effective in a Motion Offense. McGrady's in an offense that tries to out score the opponent. Unfortunately many people (including highlight-mongers at Sportscenter) are only going to focus on the "OMG TMAC SCORES 25 POINTS!!1 HE'S BACK!!!11" He can score and still has some game (that wasn't in doubt). His spot in an Adelman offense was gone. TMac cannot be compared to Ariza and/or Martin.
Guess what. It's the coach's job to get the best out of his players. When your crappy "system" doesn't fit the superstar players you have, it's time to adapt. How many titles did Adelman's system win?
Tmac is lookin good so far...not a Tmac hater or fan but I wish him the best. On the other hand, KM has gotten off to a slow start...
Checked out the boxscore. How many of these games did the HEALTHY T-Mac have with us where he had such an efficient game? Unless T-Mac has developed his game somehow during this time, I can't imagine it's even remotely sustainable. Btw, NY really doesn't play defense. Can you imagine T-Mac getting a -2 in the +/- putting up those offensive numbers with us? No wonder the guy wanted NY. Someone is going to pay him big money in the offseason and will regret it in a year.

i think Martin is a good fit WITH Yao, so next year assuming Yao holds up we should see Martin at his best
