I said before that draft I'd trade Tmac for Durant straight up.

He was that good as a freshman at UT.

One of the purest scorers of all time.

Still not quite the playmaker Tmac was in his prime though, but he's absolutely ridiculous.

i refuse to answer a poll if you are going to make the choices like that. tmac was better, tmac was kobe jordonesque in his prime, kd is not even in his prime so you can't compare them yet. and seriously people grow up with the she mac he is gone.

    no.

jordan won mvps, dpoys, finals mvp

Tmac should never ever be mentioned in the same sentence or paragraph or book as Michael Jordan.

Never ever ever ever ever ever.

This is like comparing a dart-(tmac) to a nuclear missle (jordan).

Never ever ever ever ever ever compare Tmac to Jordan.

Durant is a better scorer than McGrady? Come on. Did any of you watch him in Orlando?

Durant is a more efficient scorer, if I was to pick one of them during the same age as each other, I would go with Durant, he's more of a complete player than McGrady at 22.

Mcgrady was arugeably the best player in league back in Orlando years. He took the later champions piston to 7 games all by himself. THe second best player on the team was who? DREW FKING Gorden? Come on, I bet kobe no jordan could do that.
Seriously, just give tmac the props he deserves. Admit he was a beast.

Jordan has a statue in front of the United Center.

Why isn't T-mac statue's outside Toyota Center? or Amway Arena? or the Air Canada center?

cause he was a beast right?

    Tmac.

As good of a player durant is...tracy can be hobbling on one leg using a walker and he can effect the game with his passing. His passing is just that good. I don't think durant will ever be close to that...but that's jmho. I feel that unless he's severely hurt, tracy can play until he's 40+ relying on his passing and pick and roll ability.

exactly, it's difficult to compare these players, i admit, but at the same time they are about the same size, play the same position and are on teams that are about the same strength although OKC has a better supporting cast than Mac did in ORL. ok, i'm done with the Mac threads, i understand he's no longer with us, but i do appreciate what he did the first 2-3 years when he was here, he was a player, played tough, dunked on people like it was nothing... but then he got content with jumpers and then he got injured and whatever the drama between him and the management happened.

look, all i was comparing is Durant NOW is just as good or almost as good as Mac in his prime. that's how good Durant is. he's scoring 25 like nothing, he accounts for more than 30% of the teams scoring.

I agree with Moe, I would have traded then Seattle the second pick and expiring contracts for Mac if they would have done it. he's probably one of the best college players ever and probably the best pure scorer along with Carmelo in college ball.

He's gone. I'm done. sorry if i offended anyone by posting ANOTHER T-MAC thread.

Durant is only goint to get better, judge that. he's gonna be more confident, he will put on more muscle, he will probably get to the line more, his shooting is incredible as of now... just imagine. Portland is cursed, Jordan, now Durant.

    T-Mac, easily.
He is a way better passer and helps his teammates to get easy baskets.
    Also, Durant averages more turnovers.
