I guess that would make Sir Charles chubby.

Seriously have you seen Redd in the last 5-6 years?

Anyone else think that Kevin Martin sounds like Shane Battier?

That's what team defense is for. You switch the assignment so Martin doesn't get exposed.

The game has changed so much that few SG post up or even have post moves. Kobe, Wade, Johnson do but even if they do post up Martin is 6'7 and has quick feet.

I know you're say Martin doesn't play defense but trust me, The team will change his attitude about manning up. Defense is contagious on this team.

I think he'll be in there for his clutch factor as well as his raw shooting ability. That 4th quarter against the Knicks in '94 was iconic. Then the one in '95 was just fuel to the fire.

First of all, let me tell you all I, well ,I mean ,we, are glad to be a part of the Houston Rockets family. I have seen more kings games since Kmart became a sacramento king. ALL OF THEM!! Let me try to give some insight on the kid. He is a baller!! He can play above the rim, knock down 3s if you leave him, create off the dribble, he is notorious for slashing to the basket behind an unaware defense, and can draw fouls at will. Selfish is not in his vocab. The injuries were a result of him playing his butt off! Two years ago it was a deep thigh bruise from getting all but dropped kicked in the leg by I believe Bruce Bowen. Last year it was a serious ankle sprain that he tried to continue to play on until it got to bad. Game 4 of this season he all but broke his wrist in a collision with Allen Iverson trying to track down a loose ball. Defense? He is no Ron Artest, but he can stay in front of his man for the most part. He is usually good for a charging call or two every game. Do not let his frame fool you he is scrappy. His downfall is getting chipped off his man on a screen but most times he will recover pretty well. His game high at sac was either 48 or 49 points, and before he got hurt early this year his game average was 30.4 a game second to only Melo. The biggest thing we are proud of him for as his family is he is a class act. He would rather score 10 and win than to score 40 and lose. He is productive on the floor. Not alot of shots to get his points. Many of which come from the line. I remember the night he went 14 of 14 from the line. He can not only do it up, homeboy can fill it up. I believe some of the defense issues stem from him not wanting to commit fouls to stay on the floor cause he was sacs offense. Thank you 8lbs. 3oz. baby Jesus we are on a team that knows how to play team basketball!!!

yes I am. And I am so glad he is a rocket. I do not want to speak for him so I will just say the kid is pumped about being here, and I am happy I do not have to watch another kings game knowing a talent is being bogged down by whatever the problems were. LETS GO ROCKETS!!!

This may be the scariest post I have read all year. Even the mention of Kevin Marin and Ariza in the same sentence is spooky.

but strong, like t-mac is as well. Kmart is more like Reggie Miller and Rip Hamilton. I say weaker than Hamilton but maybe a lil stronger than Reggie which a guy as small as Kobe Bryant could rip through in a heartbeat. The thing is there's a different kind of thin... and Martin is as physically weak as he looks... while somebody like Kobe, TMac, KG are strong physically capable thins.. Tracy is a conniving loser and we really lost him back in Jan 09. What a loser that is the ultimate weak....

I believe that Kevin will benefit by watching Battier and Ariza play D. His D will improve with Rockets and having his old coaching staff will also benefit his game on both ends of the court.

K-mart can put on weight with the Rockets. Texas food is a lot heavier than the California rolls and Boca burgers in Sacramento.

While his D is his weakness, the Rockets excellent help defense will be able to protect him somewhat.

Not to mention, he will now be expected to play defense and the way these Rockets play hard, it is contagious.

With Yao back it will minimize Martin's shortcomings even more.
