According to the post-practice interview on the Rockets.com site, Adelman's initial plan is to play just two of the new guys right away: Kevin Martin and Jordan Hill. So it sounds like Hill's getting first shot at filling Landry's shoes in the second unit. I'm guessing Battier will also get some time at the 4 as well.

It's going to be interesting how Adelman figures out that frontcourt rotation.

Camby had a forgettable outing on his first night as a Trailblazer as well.

    Or...

    Brooks
    Martin
    Ariza
    Battier
    Hayes

    Scola first off the bench

Why would Battier start at the 4 over Scola?

What about Ariza off the bench? Maybe he could do better against the other team's second unit?

I'm pretty sure he's thinking about bringing Scola off the bench because he would give the second unit more offense than Battier would.

But it still wouldn't work because Battier would get posted up all game long if he started at the 4 spot.

Brooks and martin make the worst defensive backcourt in the league, bt on offense it's going to be sizzling.

I must have missed that part about Jordan Hill. It seems that Adelman kept saying he didn't know was going to play.

If Lowry is able to go tonight, then I think the rotation will look something like this:

    Brooks / Lowry
    Martin / Budinger
    Ariza / Battier
    Scola / Jeffries
    Hayes / Hill

Andersen might get some of Jeffries' and/or Hill's minutes tonight. Hayes and Ariza give us some D in the first unit, and although we lose some scoring punch with Landry in the second, the D really picks up with Lowry, Battier, and Jeffries. We're gonna love Jeffries' D. Let's hope Hill can score inside.

Without Lowry, and with 4 new players, RA will likely tighten up the rotation a lot, with only Battier and Budinger getting significant minutes off the bench.

    Brooks / Temple
    Martin / Budinger
    Ariza / Battier (Budinger)
    Scola / Battier (Andersen)
    Hayes / Scola (Hill)

Of the 4 new players I believe only Martin and jeffries will see time.

The game note said probable starters are the same starting 5

    Brooks
    Ariza
    Battier
    Scola
    Hayes

--I think Adelman doesn't want to rush into things too soon, and wants to make sure Martin doesn't have a flop premiere starting like alot of the other big name players did (Camby, Butler, Jamison).

It feels like there hasn't been a rockets game in 2 weeks with the All-Star break, the non competitive game against the Bucks and then the trade deadline.

I hope we get to see some of Hill!

Trying to decide whether to watch this game or the Knicks game. It's just we are playing the Pacers, they suck, so probably a easy win.
