That's juqt what the Knicks were waiting for. They didn't want to give up a 2nd round pick with him int the deal, so they just waited for him to be waived. Now they can woo him to NY. I wonder if Lebron will be calling him trying to recruit him to the Cavs.

Word is that, in an attempt to resurrect his career, he contacted Tim Grover to get him ready for this year's offseason FA bonanza. With the likes of Lebron, Bosh, Wade, and Stoudemire as free agents, there will be more teams with money to throw around than there are these superstars....enter a revived B- Cook...the next best thing. But..,.that was just his thinking as his plans went sour when Tim Grover declined as he didn't want to jeopardize his reputation by taking on a washed-up fatty. Not wnatin to give up just yet, he is currently in contact with Sesame Street's Grover.

I still have fond memories of his first game with the Rockets.

The guy cheered his heart out on the bench. Wherever he goes, I wish him the best.

It looks like these medium-sized expiring contracts aren't as valuable as a lot of us thought. More often than not, these guys seem to end up getting waived.

Anyway, I'm going to miss seeing Cook's skipping on the sidelines to keep warmed up during timeouts. He always looked like a big kid when he did that.

I seriously, wish we could have gotten something out of Cook.
