So, for the past six years, I've noticed the second toe on my left foot is somewhat lame. It's curled under itself, and slants to the left. The only time it really gets painful is when I'm active athletically, specifically running. I don't ever remember a specific injury, except, ten years ago a kid stomped on my foot, with cleats on, being a jerkoff. Anywho, long story short, tonight, I finally decided to x-ray the toe (illegally, maybe....let's not go there...), and looking at my picture, the two joints in my toe are dislocated. Both of them! The proximal joint is dislocated pretty good, mostly inferiorly. The distal (end) joint is dislocated laterally, and a tiny bit inferiorly, also. I want to try to set it, but I think that because it's been so long, the ligaments have probably grown to hold the bones in this position, and even if I reduced it, it would not stay set. I never said I'm not an idiot for having it checked out sooner, but you can't take my man card away any time soon.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO COULD NOT WITH YOUR FEEBLE GIRLIE BRAINS POSSIBLY COMPREHEND THE MANLY MAGNITUDE OF AWESOMENESS THAT WAS THIS STORY HERE IS A PHYSICAL REPRESENTATION OF THE RIVETING TALE CHAPS!
if you're willing, you can cut the ligament(s), set the bones properly, and then they would heal.. of course, i'd assume you'd have to put your foot in a boot or something to let everything heal properly
the second toe (closest to big toe) on my right foot is angled to the right. I'm guessing I broke it when I was realy little. It doesn't hinder me at all unless I'm either doing something where I'm balancing on my toes or putting pressure directly on it (i.e. plank position). The way the toe has grown also makes it impossible for a toenail to grow on that toe. I tried to break it and re-set it as a kid, but yeah, breaking your own bones hurts. I am now also a cool story bro.
My mother in law has the exact same problem. She got her toe that way from cramming it into high heels......
 Well played. I'm glad that joke didn't offend you because I realized it might possibly do so after posting it.
