http://www.insidehoops.com/blog/?p=5432 Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey announced today that the team has re-assigned guard Jermaine Taylor to Houston’s single-affiliation NBA D-League partner the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. In his first stint with Rio Grande Valley, Taylor averaged 21.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.25 steals in four games (one start). He also posted back-to-back 30-point outings with the Vipers at Albuquerque (30 points on 2/2/10 and 32 points on 2/3/10).
This is a good move. I have seen more contribution out of Temple this year than JT. You can see his athleticism but he looks like hes pressing or trying to hard. The game just does NOT come easy to him. I hope they keep Temple on the team the remainder of the year as I think he fills more of a need. He can play the point but is big enough to guad 2's as well.
JT needs to find a team that will sign and play him. He is to good for the DLeague. He averages great numbers down there.
Damn, poor guy. Back and forth all year. Hope he gets a chance to play somewhere in the future, if it isn't here. I really liked him in college.
Back and forth all year? He went to the D-League once for 4 games. Y'all are acting like he actually spent significant time down there. Taylor being in the D-League and playing is better for his development than rotting on the bench on a very deep Rockets team.
Keeping Temple is definitely more important. Temple plays under control, is tall for his position and defends fairly well.
And he pushes the Rock! He gets it and he is gone.. That is what we needed with the second group.. That was why Conroy, while not terrible, pretty ineffective.
