Very strange (and sad) seeing a thread about Landry in the Dish and not the GARM :(

Yup, well deserved. Or maybe I should say earned instead. He worked his ass off here in Houston. Wish him the best.

I can see him pwning Scola quite a bit when they match up against each other.

We'll probably have to go to Hayes or Jeffries to deal with him.

Or just double team him and dare him to make the right pass like every other team does to him. :)

That's tougher when he has Tyreke Evans instead of Aaron Brooks. Love Brooks, but Evans is a lot more of a threat.

I'm still bitter about losing him in the trade. I'm glad we kept the core, but in all honesty, he made that core with Lowry.

The new guys better bring the business.

It was said in practice, Scola and Landry couldn't defend each other. It's a push.

and scola said there was no point of trying to play if Chuck was guarding you in practice

maybe the Rockets put Chuck on Carl

but yeah i already miss the guy a lot in the same way I missed Mobley and Francis when they were traded.

I will get over it but they will always be rockets in my book

    He spoke very well.
I'm glad that he is upbeat about joining the Kings.

    Best of luck Carl!

Its sad to listen to that. Carl will always be a hero to me, for his heart/play and for bringing in one of the greatest trades in Rockets history

No way, I'll take Brooks. Aaron is shooting almost .400 from the three point line and it's only a matter of time before his mid-range jumper catches up and allows him to stop and pop with ease.

Good point but you could also be selling him short. He hasn't been facing that kind of defense for very long. It usually takes much longer than a few weeks to learn how to react effectively to double teams, particularly for big men. As Morey, himself, pointed out, it took Al Jefferson more than a season just to start getting a hang of it.

Also, there is already more offensive talent around him in Sacramento than he had this season in Houston and they are likely to only get better in that respect. It will be tougher for teams to double him and get away with it with more players around him that can make them pay. As mentioned above, he could also improve how he responds to doubles, making it that much tougher for the opposition. Odds are that he improves considerably with more experience, even if us Rockets fans don't want to admit it.
