I will nominate a fellow Indian: Freddie Mercury <object width="640" height="505"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/lDckgX3oU_w&hl=en_US&fs=1&hd=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lDckgX3oU_w&hl=en_US&fs=1&hd=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="505"></embed></object>
For the past 60 years it's been Jagger. You've never seen him hold a press conference to apologize, for anything.
Good choice on Mercury. I'm going to nominate Eugene Hutz of Gogol Bordello. If you haven't seen them live they put on an incredible show. <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/cWYTyfQe-o8&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/cWYTyfQe-o8&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
This video really captures Gogol Bordello. if you are talking just bands (not solo act like elvis or prince) i would have to say jagger or robert plant - i think if you are talking rock and roll those two are the prototypes of what a frontman is supposed to be. i wouldnt argue w/ anyone who picked freddy mercury though.
I've been to that exact spot where that pic was taken. Its now a bike way and an LRT line is planned along there too.
Not that much. They're OK but I never followed them or Westerberg that much before. I just happen to live a mile and a half from where that pic was taken and use the bike way often in the summer.
In terms of entertainment and flash, it's David Lee Roth. Remember, we aren't talking about singing talent, we're talking about being a frontman.
That is who I would say as well. You might want to clarify about Mercury being an Indian. He was born in Zanzibar but grew up in India. I would say that he considers himself (if he was still alive) more Persian than Indian, but I'm not sure.
And the evidence. Does it hard(gross) with Tool: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Hb2RuUuuoww&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Hb2RuUuuoww&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Does it soft(gross) with A Perfect Circle: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/avgiqNapUx0&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/avgiqNapUx0&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
