    I especially like this post:

"My personal favorite was the guy who was saying that Morey was a genius and that K-Mart was the star the Rockets needed suddenly changing his opinion to "fire Morey and K-Mart is a worthless P.O.S"

    Tells you something about Landry."

It tells you there are a lot of Emo's on CF.

    there isn't much to speculate.

if you are a rocket's fan, you're hurting about losing Landry.

By the same token, I am more and more excited about acquiring Martin based on the responses his departure is getting from the fans and media of Sacramento. It sounds like the guy gives 100%, plays smart and is a model citizen.

Sacramento needs Landry like we need Martin.

Still wish it was Scola, since I think Landry could develop more this year and be a force next year, with Jordan Hill as the backup. Scola has reached his limit.

Why do people keep spouting off about this as if it were an option?

Fact is, the Kings would not have done the deal if it was Scola instead of Landry, period.

While we're wishing, I wish we'd gotten Lebron for T-Mac. Hey, if you're going to wish without any good basis for it, why not go big?

I am about at my limit with his flops. Landry actually blocks people.

Probably fewer blocks than effective flops...

If you want a shot blocker at the 4, you ought to be over the moon with Hill. He's much better suited to that role than Landry.

If you're talking "upside" then Hill has more than Landry - so that's worth being happy about.

If you're talking about "now" then Scola produces more than Landry - so that's worth being happy about.

I'll get flamed for saying this, but I don't mind it that Landry is gone BECAUSE we got back serious talent in return; not just Martin, but another young PF prospect.
Carl is always going to be undersized, is never going to be much of a defender, will never be much of a shot blocker and isn't going to turn into an all-star PF.
The thing is that THIS season people look at him and think "hmmm, maybe" which made him probably our most potent trading chip.
Thankfully he brought us back a guy who scores 20ppg without blinking.

Landry's a FA in 2011, where Yao's coming off the books along with Battier and etc. If we really want Landry back, things can be done.

I guarantee the rockets coaches would tell you scola is better defensively then landry...landry is no slouch but rebounding is a good indicator of tenacity and defense and scola kills on the boards, landry doesn't rebound like a 4. On a sad note, i deemed landry our future all-star and i'm dissapointed he's gone but that dissapointment will swiftly be gone after KEVIN MARTIN sticks a curl around 18 footer.

We need to use reverse psychology then!!!! I HATE LANDRY! ( ya know how tough it is to say that even in the context of Carl Landry.)

It also tells you CF has a lot of delusional fans who change minds 180 degree the next instant. They can also speculate how the game threads look like with those people.

You could be the Kings GM. I bet $1 they thought the exact same thing.

Well, losing Landry is like getting punched in the balls.

But getting draft picks, Jordan Hill, and Kevin Martin is like getting a handjob after it. It still hurts, but I'll take it.
