    Now the real question:

When can I get my Kevin Martin Jersey?

I've been so excited about this trade all day... I literally don't think I've even thought of much else.

What makes this trade so exciting and memorable?

    Firstly........the drama...THE DRAMA, LOL!

Who can we get for T-Mac? Andre Iguadola? Caron Butler? Must we trade T-Mac? Should we just hold on and let his contract expire? Can we even get something good in return for him?

All the emotions running around in Clutchfans, all the various opinions, the expressions made by the various members here... priceless

Secondly, the sheer "out of the freaking blue" results that came.

Did ANYONE ever EXPECT a trade for Kevin Martin? As in seriously expected it? We were all looking at the wrong damned targets.... Philly (Iguadola), Wizards (Butler), Knicks (god knows) and Bulls (haha)... but Morey ALWAYS surprises us... never fails. He is truly the master of misdirection and the smokescreen.

And then to add an icing to the cake, he goes around and surprises us a SECOND TIME with his follow-up acquisition of the picks from the Knicks. Whom alot of us were looking at as the sole trade possibility.

If there is anything endearing about Morey, is that he never ever fails to surprise us :) He surprised us with Scola, with the Brooks and Landry draft picks, with Artest, and now, with Martin. I look forward with bated breath to the summer trading window ^_^

Ultimataely, the trade journey and the final result was worth it :p

Thanks for the clarification. That makes me happy. High picks are essential to our growth.

I don't think NY will explode with two max agents(provided they get them). I'm not pleased with the acquisition of the players, but I hope they will prove me wrong.

Lol and i've been saying this whole time I think he will be a 15 and 7 guy...which is what Landry was.

I'll go out on the limb and say he can be a all-star...but only because it's so early in his career that anything is possible.

Look no further than Kevin Martin. Rookie season also averaging 10mpg and 2ppg. Once again...under Adelman he flourished.

Adelman is one of if not the best teacher in the NBA. I've never seen so many young players develop so well under him. If Hill can't learn to play NBA under RA then he truly has no shot in it. That's how I feel. This is why Adelman and Morey are the perfect GM and Coach for each other.

Does anyone else really thing Brooks would be this good on any other team? Adelman is going to give Hill a shot to fail and succeed...it's going to be frustrating at times but hopefully in the end it will be worth it.

Clutch suspected it, in my opinion. He mentioned Martin not too long ago when no one else was, at least not that I can remember. I've been wondering if he knew something about Martin before the deal, that he was a real possibility if the stars aligned for Morey.

Godly trade by Morey. Was scratching my head last night when they said we were giving up T-Mac & Landry for just Martin. This deal makes me a lot more happy. Give up an expendable asset in Landry, take a little trash in Jefferies, and we end up with Martin, Hill, potentially 2 lottery picks =.

not to be this guy, i sent 610 a text asking

"is the 2012 pick forfeited if it is in the top 5, or does the pick get pushed back to 2013?"

the response, "no does not get pushed back"

Hope so, but the Knicks fans are in major celebration mode about "getting rid" of Jeffries. Go to some of their boards, it is like Christmas all over again. He must have really stunk up the place.

So, we now see who is the true MVP of the Houston Rockets: Daryl Morey. No matter how this trade ends up, I'm glad to see the Rockets finally have someone in the organization who isn't afraid to make big moves to make the team better. Whatever salary he asks for, we need to pay it. I can't wait to see the new players in the lineup.

    In Morey We Trust.

Don't want to beat a dead horse, but is there any official word on how the lottery picks are structured? I keep hearing one person say one thing and someone else saying something else.
