And beleive me i am not trying to race bait, i am just reading comments from other people Muslim tries and fails to blow up a plane, its terrorist attack an extremest this guy slams a small plane into the IRS building, but he has some good ideas, just went by them the wrong way.
I haven't heard about casualties yet but I suspect crashing a plane into a building and setting afire is more deadly than going in with guns blazing.
This is definitely a terrorist attack. It was a premeditated, anti-government attack on innocent people with lives at stake designed to strike fear into a lot of people. What about that ISN'T terrorist.

Just went about them the wrong way? Dude flew a plane into a building full of innocent people. The IRS office in that building dealt with researching employee sponsored health plans. He was a f***ing nutjob, plain and simple. His little manifesto spoke of how broke he constantly was, yet, as CrazyDave pointed out, he had 2 homes and an f***ing airplane? His life only sucked because he made it suck. It's no one else's fault but his own and he chose the pu**y way out, while trying to take innocent people with him. May he burn in hell.
Except that being a part of a larger organization does NOT define a terrorist attack. An individual terrorist (read the Ft. Hood guy) can have no larger connections to an organization and still commit terroristic actions. This guy was a rabid anti-government extremist trying to send a message with his suicide bombing of a federal building. This is no different to me than the Ft. Hood shooting, differing methods not withstanding. JV may not feel as threatened by this guy as a muslim terrorist, but it is still a terrorist attack with a POLITICAL message attached to it. It bear all the hallmarks of a terrorist attack. What makes it even scarier is that from reading this guy's manifesto, he seems like an intellectual and he had fully thought his actions through. Does he qualify as a socialist terrorist or the first economics-oriented terrorist of our time?
I think we're losing track of what 'terrorism' means. Terrorism tries to influence political policy by making the public afraid of future violence. Assuming he is a lone nutjob, we can't reasonably be coerced by the fear of future violence because of this dead guy? If the IRS doesn't shape up after his attack, what is he going to do about it? Who is afraid that we'll soon have another terrorist fly a small plane into another government building because the IRS is in cahoots with the Catholic Church? No reasonable person should be. I initially felt the same way about the shrink at Fort Hood, until it was later revealed that he was, in fact, affiliated with a larger jihad movement. Judoka is right that we don't know everything yet, so maybe some organizational element will come out that will make this incident terrorism. In the meantime, though, this is just an impotent attempt at payback.
i 100 percent agree with you i am talking about how soooo many people label some acts terrorism but not others. To me, the underwear bomber, Ft Hood, and this nut job are not terrorist. They are no differant than the guy that shot Pres. Reagan. Crazy loons that are looking to go out infamous
There are Echelon buildings in other cities....Jackson, Indianapolis, Vancouver. 183 Echelon, L.P is listed as the lessor for Echelon Building II Suite 320 in Austin. So I would guess the buildings were named for the company that owns them.
I totally understand his situation but he did it all wrong. I like for once that someone go after the main target instead of targeting the the innocence.
