I take back my early concerns about this deal and Morey. If we're getting Kevin Martin AND Jordan Hill AND the 2011 and 2012 Knicks 1st round picks, all for Landry and McGrady, we are getting a hell of a deal. This lets us re-sign Scola and him him be the starter while Jordan Hill develops and gives us one of the highest scoring backcourts in the league with, which Yao, creates a situation where it's tough to double anybody. Only concern is if Martin (and Yao) can stay healthy.

what everyone is overlooking is that Jared Jefferies, while not a star, would be an excellent defensive fit next to Yao if needed, or who can play spot minutes at backup C.

All of a sudden, we can put out a lineup that has scoring, has height and size:

    Brooks/Martin/Ariza/Jefferies/Yao.

Scola starts, but Jefferies is not useless.

Best part of this deal--we have nothing to do with Kenny Thomas.

Can somebody explain what happens if the Knicks end up with the 2011 first overall? Do we get the right to swap in a subsequent (2013) draft?

    Wow!

Martin, Hill, Knicks 2011, Knicks 2012 for McGrady, Landry, Dorsey, Rockets 2011, and having to take Jeffries. The Rockets will be in a good position to trade for someone in the offseason.
