Frankly, I'm kind of surprised how many people here seem to be experts on Kevin Martin's game. We have tons of people running their mouths about how stupid Morey is for giving up Landry for "a guy with no playmaking skills," "is nothing but a scorer," and "is one dimensional." On the other hand, we've got a smaller amount of people that seem to think it's a great deal for the Rockets.

I tend to think that most people on here are merely looking at his statline and running their mouths because it makes them feel important. I will admit that I'm disappointed we're giving up Landry. Martin's injury history is also a bit alarming. On the other hand, I admit that I wanted Big Baby over Landry, thought Aaron Brooks was too short, and wanted to know why we traded for a PG that couldn't start in Memphis.

I also know that Sacramento has had very few national television appearances over the past few years. Which is why I'm so surprised that there are this many apparent Kevin Martin experts. Between the injuries and lack of national television exposure, I can't say I'm familiar with the Martin's game at all. Furthermore, even if you have league pass, are that many people tuning in to see the Sacramento Kings?

So, how familiar are you with Kevin Martin's game based upon actual time spent watching him play? Why does this make you either upset or happy with the trade? Why will he or won't he work (aside from injuries) as a Houston Rocket?

Give us some insight on what kind of player Martin is.

To be honest with ya'll, I'm not en fait with his plays and performance down in SacTown, only thing that stuck in my mind is his injury history and he's another injury prone player. :(

Please someone who knows what he's actually capable of doing, enlighten me.

I have seen him play every time the Kings played the rockets and he wasn't injured.

Shoot, pump fakes...driving the lane, getting to the line, knock down shooter.

Defense he won't help out much...

Keep aside the fact that he is injury prone and that we lost Landry for him, he's a perfect fit for this team.

I find it funny that the same people that are bashing Martin for his one dimensional play are jumping off a bridge because we traded the one dimensional Landry for him.

Weird, I have no idea how I double posted this. Sorry for cluttering things up. My one time to create a thread in GARM and I start with an epic fail. :(

I can understand worry that we lose some toughness inside...for sure...Andersen not going to bring what Landry brought...

But to think we will lose scoring is just silly.

Also guys, if PF is a hole in this team we all know Morey will fill it. We now have the MLE and the draft plus the deadline...I doubted Morey earlier yesterday, all was looking lost then poof...Kevin Martin is heading to Houston...

Pfft we still have Lowry also, we can just put him at PF. I'm sure he can do some damage there :p

I am a semi-Kings and Rockets fan....i am from Sactown and i seen two of his recent games...he wasn't shooting well and he doesn't seem to have the strength to play defense type of guy. But everyone knows he's a lethal score that can attack the basket and that's exactly the type of players the Rockets need outside...especially when playing with Yao. Yao needs someone that doesn't just shoot the ball but attack the basket as well. This is something that Tracy McGrady don't do often enough and have to be reminded every single time.
