Good luck Mandry, You are a true warrior and made the fans and the Rockets proud. You will be missed.
It will take awhile to digest this trade, not sure the trading is over. Don't know what I think yet. But this I do know, I feel sick about Landry going. The Rockets don't have much "sizzle," and he provided most of it. He is a significant talent, and I am surprised the Rockets would let him go.
Really? Anyway it's Landry's dunk over Lamar Odom in Game 6 of the Lakers series which gave the Rockets lead for good in Q4.
We already had 2 very good players for the very same postion: PF.... Rebuilding teams prefer younger players....So the deal was more possible with Landry than Scola.... A SG for a PF is a good deal for Houston, IMO. And Scola seems too undervalued around here IMO. Adelaman started him over Landry for a lot of technical reasons. Scola intangibles are not shown in boxscores, but are very important, specially in winning teams, that Rockets would like to become.
I'm gonna miss you big guy!!!! I'm gonna miss you, I hope the best for you In your career, thanks for the memories.... --RB
I have to admit that Landry was probably the player I most wanted to stay in a Rockets uniform. Kevin Martin is a great player, but it's going to take some time for me to adjust to this turn of events. Good luck, Carl!
DAMNIT. This sucks. Landry had easily become my favorite Rocket. I really don't like this trade right now. It better work out, though, because Morey trading a fan favorite is a good way to blow a lot of the goodwill he's generated with his shrew moves up to this point.
Thank You Carl Landry. I changed my title after I wrote this. It said NOOOOO NOT LANDRY Kevin Martin, nice job Morey! Onto the subject. The thought of Landry being traded has crossed my mind over and over again this season. His contract, plus his skill level made him very valuable. He will forever be in my mind a Rocket at heart and I hope he gets the playing time he deserves in Sac town. I really will miss him. I wanted to see Scola, Buddinger, Lowry, or even Brooks (for a little extra) go before Landry. He was my favorite Rockets player. Here's to hopefully seeing Landry one day return to the Rockets, and to the Rockets organization putting the fans first before anything. Here's to you Carl Landry, the only player in the league who gave up as many teeth as it took to make the play defensively.
