No doubt, the championship team would win, however, how many games would it take. A sweep, 4-1, 4-2. This could get ugly real quick

    Comparisons
    Dream vs. Ming Dynasty/Cato
Dream would average a triple double and foul Cato out in 5 minutes. The new squad would have to double and that spells trouble with the outside shooters from the championship squad

    Clyde vs. Cat
Once again, Clyde would give Cat fits on the offensive end, however, Cat would score on Clyde, but we all know that Clyde can leap out of the gym and play lock down D. I haven't seen Cat lock up anyone yet.

    Robert vs. MoTaylor
Big Shot Rob. Too much veteran savvy for MoT. Rob's arms are too long for MoT to get off his jumper and Dream would be lurking to block his shot in the post

    Kenny/Cassell vs. Steve.
As of now, Steve would take it to them, however, in his prime, Cassell would have given Steve some migranes from all of his jumpers.

Mario (I almost forgot him) vs. Rice
Mario would give Glen fits on the defensive end with his constant hustle and bumping.

The Champs would win in 5. The new squad pride would will them to one victory.

This isn't fair...you're comparing a championship squad to a team that hasn't made the playoffs in 3 or so years. The Rockets swept the Eastern Conference Champs in 1995...I don't think that 95 team would have any trouble doing the same to the current cast of Rocks.

    I don't see a ton of new squad pride...wish i did!

I might be the only one to think otherwise

If (big if) we get rashard,we could beat the 94 team

    ming/griffin/taylor > hakeem/thorpe/herrera
    rashard > horry
    francis/mobley/nachbar > smith/maxwell/elie

    see....

remember how hakeem had trouble with tall guys like eaten/bol/bradley,well ming is better than all three combined

I know i don't think that. People underestimate Thorpe and Herrera . . esp on the defensive end. also . . . MAXWELL WOULD LOCK UP CAT!!! BELEIVE THAT

Look at the old games with the bulls. . . MAX PUT THE HANDLES ON AIR JORDAN!!

thebestfan- it doesn't just work like that. on paper the current team might have more indivdual talent but no way would they beat the '94 or '95 team. the old rocks have more experience and they knew their individual roles to win. in a few years we can probably say the same about this team.

Lets wait about two to three years so we can compare the Rockets championships from different decades.

not to diss those three but hakeem from 94 with me and a sack of potatoes would be greater than those three.

I have a questio, its a dumb question too. How many points does this Lewis guy aver. and rebounds?

is he that much of a differnce maker? The champion teams werent too shabby.
