Since when is 27 with declining stats considered a rising star? If i ask you in 2011 if you still like this trade you better be ready to eat crow.

Who here thinks Kevin Martin is worth the following:

Carl Landry, Jordan Hill, Jared Jeffries, 2011 First Round pick swap, and 2012 First Round pick?

Guess what... thats what we gave up for him.

ok, that made me feel a lot better, giving up landry is tough, but you have to give to get. we get a legit 20ppg scorer and a good one at that, he shoots well and we definitely could use that.

getting Hill would offset losing Landry IMO, except Hill is untested, raw, but has the size, 6'10 - 6'11 to be a legit force in the paint.

if we don't get Hill, I would be a little upset because we did trade our best player right now IMO in landry. very efficient player.

    Hayes / Armstrong / Anderson
    Scola / Hill
    Ariza / Battier
    Martin / Budinger / Taylor
    Brooks / Lowry

some of you are underestimating Armstrong, he's a legit 5. played well for N.O.

Not so fast doomsayer. We might still get Hill. If not Morey will get us again with yet another surprise trade. I just know it.

    Sell high, buy low.

Landry is an undersized backup PF, Kmart is a starter with size.

Landry's value is at highest point of his career, Kmart is at lowest point of his career.

Landry's game and Yao's game are becoming somewhat redundant, Kmart's game may fit Yao's well.

Yao/Scola/Ariza/Kmart/Lowry could be a balanced team with size.

    It's a gamble worth taking.

Man, I hope this not the whole trade or else we got the short end of it. Let hope Knicks get involve so we can get more out of this trade. Losing Landry sucks, he is one of my fav. players on this team. :(

Brian Cook only gets you garbage. Kings will not give up Kmart for him.

All this whining about losing Landry. Remember guys, we have a lot of good players on this rocket team. It sounds like a high risk, high reward move by the Rockets. I'm all for it.

Keep in mind why TMAC was an asset, he was an expiring contract. In this deal we still get 13.5Mill in expirings plus we have B.Cooks 3.5Mill. Remember what was offered earlier today for Amare by Cleveland? Don't get in a hurry to assess the deal until the deadline has passed, let the smoke clear and we'll discuss it in 12 hours.

Guess what? Walsh didn't want to give up Jordan Hill, it's been reported.
Guess what? Jared Jeffries's contract is not an asset, NY gave up picks to get rid of it.

We are giving up a lot in Landry...he will be missed, i'm sure by his teammates as well.

IDK if I like this trade, hopefully we at least get Hill back from the Knicks...maybe one day Hill can be a Landry like player...
