I got mixed feelings about this, but I like Martin's potential a bit more than Landry because we still have Scola.

    1. 5 games is too small of a sample.
    2. Even if he was an uber scorer, this is after the injury, unless you have a time machine to go back before it, he's currently a 20 ppg inefficient scorer...
    3. That just proves my point about him being injury prone.

You hit it right on the head.

    +1

But yeah I'm still on the fence...but its a ton of people making sense around here about Landry's new contract when this current one is up...

KMart's injuries concern me the most. I am TIRED of injuries. If it wasn't for that I would really like the trade.

Landry was awesome though. But from a pure lineup standpoint, its a no-brainer.

It's Drexler for OT all over again - and OT was better than Landry.

Im calm now...its ok that we lose landry. Morey is not done making moves PEOPLE. we have a gap to fill at PF. I see Thomas coming or the wild card Amare.

And Clyde was better then Kevin Martin ;)

I like this trade but K-mart's injury history does scare me.

    A lot.

I like this trade. I think all rockets fans should like this trade.

If the rockets made a trade with the knicks, it would mean they give up next season. As a fan, I don't want to wait so long.

When Yao comes back next season, the rockets will be ready to contend.

I'm more than a little frustrated that we traded one SG who's fatal weakness was an inability to stay health / play hurt, for another SG who has the exact same weakness.

Martin can shoot the ball, is a good one-on-one player, and he can draw fouls. He moves well off the ball. He doesn't defend whatsoever. Not much of a passer. We get to have this player for the next 3 years, for 11-13 million per? And we lose Landry.

    I'm not thrilled.

You should have included an "on the fence" option in the poll. I am on the fence right now.

It really sucks to see Landry go, but judging from Morey's trade history, this should turn out fine, and Martin might be the one to create a shot that we desperately need now.

OK, that was my brain talking. Now's my heart shouting. MANNNNNNNNNDRYYYYYYY!!!!!!111!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO11!!!!!!!!!!

    Martin = points

Landry = points, rebounds, efficiency, excitement, energy, intensity, sense of humor, charisma, etc.

    man, i'm so pissed.

This is hilarious. Who in the right mind would trade a 6th man of the year with crazy efficiency for a injury prone chucker that can't defend worth crap.

This trade sucks, we dont trade Philly cause they want another player, then we give away LANDRY anyways? 3 years 30 mil plus left on Kevin Martin's deal and he misses 20 games a season. No D, no toughness, low percentage shooting, not a position of need. We had better be getting a couple of first round picks

I think this is better than the NY deal but outside of him being just as injury prone as mac, Im more worried about his thin frame and inability to guard guys in the post

Like when we play Lakers, can't see him guarding Artest or Kobe on the block.
