If Sac and Hou can pull Knicks into 3-team deal, Sergio Rodriguez + TMac would go to NY, a source says. Told Sac-Hou two-way deal not done.

    per Ric Bucher

Rockets screwed themselves by mishandling T-Mac

Instead of having both T-Mac and Carl Landry, we now have Kevin Martin, the shooting guard who is shooting less than 40% and is injury-prone. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Should have just played T-Mac if that was what we wanted.

Rockets mishandling of the T-Mac situation could cost them. I'm not even sure Martin is better than T-Mac right now.

Martin is overpaid, and one-dimensional. All he can do is score, he doesn't make plays for others, doesn't play defense.

I'm not a hater, I actually liked Kevin Martin when he played well for Sacramento; however, I see the truth, he is an overpaid, injury-prone guard who is one-dimensional.

I am going to wait until tomorrow to completely judge this trade because I'm hoping some of the details will change (esp if we get involved with NY). That being said, I will really miss Landry and the effort he put forth.
I was fortunate enough to be at the game in Milwaukee tonight, never realizing that would be his last game as a Rocket. Maybe Morey did realize that at some point the Rockets wouldn't be able to hold onto him, as his play will get a him hefty contract down the road from someone. It still doesn't take the sting away as a fan when you lose someone from your team that admire and enjoy.
I will follow Landry wherever he ends up and will continue to root for him as he was a great Rocket in the short time he was in Houston. Played hard and had fun- not much more we can ask for as a fan.

I hope I eat my words, but I don't think I will: Landry > Martin.

I wonder who our go to guy in the 4th will be... Not. Everyone knows. Martin. We somehow just got a lot shorter.

Funny thing, just looking at a Kings board and they are all kinds of pissed off about this trade, even taking some shots at Landry (poor man's Millsap).

Maybe with Yao back this will work, but the rest of this season is gonna hurt.

The Rockets had to choose between Scola and Landry. They werent going to pay them both big money. Obviously the front office likes Scola's game better.

I like Morey's boldness by sticking to his guns and securing the All-Star talent he coveted all along. I'll wait until the final details settle sometime tomorrow before I pass judgment because right now I have no idea what to think. Finding out Landry was involved changes everything.

According to ESPN Trade Machine, King's Armstrong can't be trade this year unless he is waived, so, would that mean the reports got the detaild wrong?..

BTW, I love Landry, this is kind of depressing even if I see the reason behind the trade.. Then of course, if we can add Knicks into a 3-way deals by sending Tmac to NewYork and getting Lee or Hill + 1st round pick back, then that's a different story..

Landry's being undervalued. Casspi needs to come our way to make this a fairer deal.

How many times have you watched Sacramento over the past couple of seasons?

Losing Landry SUCKS. Especially because he is such an important piece of the rockets this year. He brings instant efficient offense, high energy, and toughness to our team.

However, I believe Landry is near his peak. He is who he is. Over these last few weeks, we've come to realize that he was never going to be a top-flight option on a winning team. His value will never be higher considering his opportunities with Yao out this year and his bargain contract. In short, he is the epitome of a sell-high player. As a fan, I'm truly sorry that we have to part with him, but I understand the rational behind this kind of move and am willing to wait and see what else Morey has in mind. If all that is coming back is Martin + expirings from Kings, I wonder if we would still have some cap space to pursue a 2nd tier free agent this summer.

One can only hope that this is a 3 way deal with New York and Sac where the main pieces include TMac and Sergio Rodriguez going to the Knicks; Landry, Hughes, and Dorsey going to Kings, and Houston ending up with Jeffries, Jordan Hill, Kevin Martin and New York draft picks. That would be epic!

Like many of you guys out there on clutchfans, I've been refreshing this site incessantly throughout these past few days and I for one am glad this trade deadline saga has finally brought some action- for better or worse.
    In Morey we trust.

T-Mac, Dorsey, Landry for KMart, Kenny Thomas, Hilton Arm, Sergio Rod

    C: Chuck Hayes/David Andersen
    PF: Luis Scola/Hilton Armstrong/Kenny Thomas/Brian Cook
    SF: Trevor Ariza/Shane Battier
    SG: Kevin Martin/Chase Budinger/Jermaine Taylor
    PG: Aaron Brooks/Kyle Lowry/Sergio Rodriguez
    Inj: Yao Ming

We have no back up PF!!!

We better turn this into a 3 way deal and get Jordan Hill or keep Carl Landry.
    or
maybe Morey has one more trade left. Battier for a PF?
