What would it take to acquire a great talent like Theo? Could he be had for a package including the #9 and Walt Williams, Bryce Drew or Kenny Thomas? Ratliff is an awesome shotblocker and is improving his rebounding each year. Ratliff together with Cato would be an intimidating front line and the Rockets would surely lead the league in blocked shots next season.

    Theo Ratliff:
He would be a great fit in the Rockets frontcourt. He can play PF and some Center..he's a monster defender and shotblocker and rebounds well too (unlike Cato) He also knows how to defer to an array of outside shots (ala Iverson) and would fit well with our team. The only concerns i see are his health. Cato actually reminds me of a younger Ratliff before he began to Hone his skills. Though i still feel Ratliff has good upside.

Theo would be nice to have but it would be too difficult to get him.

There's pretty much NO way to get Theo Ratliff... on the other hand... Jermaine Oneal is now available.

Everytime this is mentioned people start shouting "its not possible".

Can someone give me an explanation as to why this would be so hard to do?

    Is it a money thing?

    Is it an attitude problem?

    What?

On the other hand, Theo Ratliff is light years ahead of Jermaine O'Neal.

Seriously though, Philly would want a ton for a guy like Ratliff, and I just doubt if we have it. Ratliff is one of the very few quality centers in this league, and do we really have someone to replace him? Yes we have Cato, but to me Cato is all potential. The other players we could offer the Sixers probably wouldn't need, or wouldn't use much. The main player for them would be whoever replaced Ratliff, and I seriously doubt if they'd trade away a proven commodity in Ratliff that can play for one like Cato, who is very unproven and played poorly at times last year.
