Not like that, you pervs :p ... I meant for the Lent season. Me... I don't know yet. :(

And, no, you do not have to be in a certain religion to "give up something" and show your discipline and will power.

It's ASH WEDNESDAY for us Catholics. Let's storm that Long John Silvers down the street!

How about Mambo's or Golden Seafood?

Man a Mojarra sounds good right about now.

I love listening to Catholics talk about what they are doing for Lent each year. I wonder if any of them know that God isn't appreciative of the act when it's done with the spirit most do it with.

^ Please elaborate, sir. It would make a nice conversation if we can rationally come down to define what that "spirit" you mention could be. But I agree that some aren't like that. Just offer some insight and let's not argue about it.

A "Come back to life" cocktail? How about that, Rock3t? [vuelve a la vida]

I'm thinking about giving up COFFEE. That should be a TOUGH test of will power  . It will also decrease my sugar intake (with a full cup, I add 6 packets of sugar).

I have two Catholic friends that I've spoken with today. One is trying to lose weight so she is giving up fast food at lunch for Lent and is bringing a lunch now. The other said "I guess I'm going to quit fu****g drinking again this year since I can't think of anything else."

If my original post implied I have some sort of problem with the Catholic faith or the idea behind Lent, I apologize. Nothing could be further from the truth.

    Thats possible if you're married.

I wonder if anyone would be willing to not visit clutchfans for a year. That would be the ultimate sacrifice.

I do not know what you speak of, with your PAGAN ideas, sir. May that idea NEVER materialize, sir.

I'm an agnostic, so I don't see a whole lot of point to me giving up anything. You guys have fun depriving yourselves; I'm gonna go have a soda.
