Definitely not a good thing if Morey wants to try and do another trade.

It sure does, because Chicago doesn't suck like New York. Don't think swapping picks with them is all that great.

Maybe we do the Chicago trade, get a pick out of them (or the option to swap), and trade that pick with Philly, in addition to expiring talent (so no McGrady in that deal, but maybe a combo of Scola, Hayes, Budinger and Cook to make salaries work), and see if they're still interested in keeping Iggy? That could be something we do tomorrow perhaps, if we can get a trade set in stone today.

    3. Should the Knicks give up Jordan Hill and future first-round picks to get Tracy McGrady from Houston and clear cap space?

Adande: The Knicks should give up as much as Houston will accept for McGrady and the max cap space. If this is their only strategy, might as well go all-out.

Legler: Absolutely, that's a no-brainer. Jordan Hill doesn't figure in their plans in any way, shape or form, and the only way to turn their cap space around is to pursue a big-name free agent.

Rose: Not only should they do it, they should do it right now. No-brainer.

these ESPN guys think it's a no-brainer deal for the knicks.

Here's my take on this, if we're thinkin bout the future, then I think we should go w/the Knicks trade because Hill is a youngun who's still developing and he was the 8th pick in the draft so he has to be good. Also we get draft picks, so thats all about the future. Now if we want immediate results then I think we should do the Chi trade cuz we get Miller and Thomas, plus I just read on here that we also get draft picks as well. So, in the Chi deal, we can think about the future AND get immediate action. But, if NY wants D-Wade or Lebron, then IMO they should do the trade. So I mean either trade is kinda fine w/me, I'd rather want the NY trade to happen rather than the Chi trade though cuz like I said, Hill is developing, Harrington is beasting this year, and we get future draft picks. Also, it works out for NY too, they free up a **** load of cash if they do the trade, so they have a chance of landing d-wade or lebron. But honestly, I seriously can't wait for something to happen, I bought texting just for this so I can get twitter updates, I mean my bill is gonna be ridiculous and my dad's gonna kill me but right now I think its worth it lol. I can't wait though foreal!!!

Despite 30+ pages of this thread, this is the first I have heard of this approach. It makes complete and total sense, and may well explain the reasoning behind this potential trade. In other words, we give Yao one more year to prove himself.

    Excellent analysis!

For everyone talking about flipping these picks or players into another deal the same day or before tomorrow's deadline, take a look at near deadline moves the last few years. How often does a scenario like that happen? Not often, because if it was likely then all three or however many teams would likely get into it from the beginning.

    Refresh....Refresh.....Refresh

Anyway-players aside, Morey prob said give me your best offer........

Whoever puts picks with the deal wins.

We can try and put the players somewhere in our lineup that may help us,
but the Bulls players will help us more...now.

-I, however, do not want TT and hope they either gets picks instead by Bulls bringing in a 3rd team, or Morey has plans to move him immediately after this deal------by himself, to one of those teams seeking a 4 right now---I think
Spurs, Blazers, Nuggets, etc have been mentioned.

Taking TT on this team would mean Scolandry would have to be broken up. I have said in the past that we should listen to offers on Scola if it seems we won't be able to resign him at a reasonable amount........but I think he and Landry are both loyal guys who will continue to stay here for an amount that will not hurt the team, but yet keep them in their current quality of life.

Berger: Rockets waiting to hear from Knicks on level of protection of picks. That is what Houston cares about. Given uncertainy there, Bulls ramped up their efforts and are recruiting a 3rd team.

Do Knicks need to get this done?

KB: Yes, this one or another.

End of day, where does he end up?

KB: Knicks have to be careful here. Giving picks away has killed them in the past. Major decision going forward.

Will be a fascinating poker game.

    That's all concering the Rockets.

    alanhahn

...that means the offense needs to feature these two. Al/Nate are shot-takers. Now, how does adding TMac help that? Good question.

KB: Knicks probably have the edge simply because Chicago doesnt have the picks unless they can get a Minnesota or Memphis involved.

I think the Knicks will give in, this just means to much to NY and WFAN was right IMO in that their goal is to be good so the picks won't be as important anyway.

That's one pick. NY is offering lotto pick Hill, swap of 1st round picks, and their 2012 first round pick.

Chicago? One pick this year and lotto pick Thomas.
