Haha! Look at the Sixers board, they all wanted to do this trade! The Rockets apparently offered T-Mac and Budinger for Iguodala and Dalembert but the Sixers rejected it. Now, it looks like they are gonna be stuck with his contract because no one else offered anything!

 

That would be a bad trade for the Rockets. Still say we should do something like Harrington + our first round pick 2010 for Iggy. Don't really need Dalembert now and maybe Philly will bite because no one is offering them anything now.

Just go on Philly.com and it should be under the "Sixers" section. Also, I think we aren't gonna get Harrington in the NY trade, but Larry "freakin" Hughes! This Philly GM is making Isaiah Thomas look like Jerry West or Daryl Morey, LOL. Now they are gonna be stuck with his contract and he's gonna regret it big time!

What does Philly want for Iggy and SD? I'd be willing to give up a little more to get this done than do the Knicks/Bulls trade. To me, we are settling with the crap the knicks and bulls are giving us. Seems like a waste of time and a 23million expiring contract...

 

Umm....the philly trade would bring in what 70 mill in contracts? Iggy(56)+dalembert(12). Looks good talent wise but that's a lot of money and I think will hurt us in the long run. IMO....to be honest you sir need to have a sit down with Bimathug, he'll fix you right up.

Actually, I was looking for a place to throw this out there, and this is as good a place as any. It was reported on Monday that the Rockets were in talks with the Sixers about a "smaller deal" that specifically did NOT involve Iguodala.

Has there been ANY word out of Philly as to what was discussed?

My guess is that it was something very minor like a deal for Jason Smith.

Before people go nuts, I'd be willing to bet that it has nothing to do with Thaddeus Young, who the Sixers view as a cornerstone.

Philly insider has been mum of any new deals, doesnt think the Sixers will make any moves. Says he is confused about Phillys recent talks of not wanting to move anyone. Seems like the front office was just "kicking tires" in previous talks. He was very upset that Philly didnt accept Houstons proposal of McGrady/Bud for Sammy/Iggy, seems like thats exactly what they needed.

Take it for what it is worth.

 

He is a bit raw,and needs to learn the game. He has genuine promise,the Sixers probably won't give him up easily.

Latest report say that the Sixers want to make a basketball move not a financial one..say if the Sixers make a trade for TMac they will have money to spend in the off season.. but it will be hard to attract free agents to come in play in Philly if they have no all stars there..they think Iggy can attract free agents..
