I'm liking Morey's version of rebuilding.

I'm pretty sure DM has thought this through a whole lot more than you. This is why Rockets fans trust Morey. He will put this franchise in the best position to succeed.

Granted, I didn't like how the Mcgrady situation was handled but RA had a lot to do with that also.

So basically what you are saying is that you are hoping the Knicks are bad??

If Hill was the number 8th pick in this past draft why isnt he getting playing time?? Why are they quick to give him up?? Its a 19-32 team he should be getting PT

Mcgrady is huge expiring. KNicks would be able to sign 2 max contracts if they get TMAC

Wow I can't believe most of yall favor the CHI trade. We get a bunch of scrubs and no picks in the CHI trade, why not get picks in the process?

Not only that, but the Knicks were reluctant to give up Jordan Hill when these rumors first starting coming out, so obviously they believe he has some value.

It's like 10 of us are trying to explain to him how the NBA works.

New post from WOJ on his twitter page:

Bulls were gathering information on Tracy McGrady late Tuesday that suggested they were alive in the bidding with NY, a league source said.

So if the Knicks have the money for 2 max contracts...that is a huge advantage to get better right?? Cause thats whats the Lebron, Wade, Bosh and others want to go. Where the money is at??

Knicks could be wrong...it happens A LOT of time in every sport.

Team drafts player...doesn't play player enough/doesn't do well his first year...player goes on and makes said team look stupid.

I mean Joe Johnson didn't even play a full season as a Celtic.

Warriors don't play Randolph a lot, doesn't mean he's not a good player. A lot of people think he will beast.

Hill will get his shots here, and Adelman is a good teacher if he isn't anything else. He's proven this with Lowry, Landry, Bud, and whoever comes here as a young player always improves their game.

I wanted to add that I think the Chicago trade is better because it puts us in a better situation now and in the future - for example, a player like Miller might like returning to Adelman, signing a cheap deal and staying with Houston now; he would be a great backup to Yao.

Second, Thomas is raw talent, like Anthony Randolph, who probably could be shaped into a solid NBA player with the right leadership - I really think Jack Sikma and Adelman can get that done.

Third, we don't have to take back a bad contract in Jeffries, who enables the Knicks to potentially get something done this summer, which potentially tarnishes the value of those picks (a common sentiment on these boards)

Fourth, as I sort of said in the initial post (but felt wasn't clear enough), I think the Chicago trade puts us in a better position to shed some talent in exchange for a better piece (i.e. a package of Scola and Budinger, with filler pieces and picks or cash, for someone like Iguodala).

2 Max contracts = Big Time Free Agents meaning those draft picks if not protected would mean bs for us. If they win

The Knicks and Rockets are reportedly finalizing a trade to send Tracy McGrady to New York.

The Knicks have agreed to give the Rockets the right to swap first-round picks in 2011 and the Knicks will send the Rockets their 2012 first-round pick. Details on protections attached to the two picks is the sole issue remaining to be resolved.

The trade creates approximately $9.5 million additional salary cap room this summer and gives the Knicks the ability to offer two maximum contracts.

New York will include Jared Jeffries, Jordan Hill and the expiring contract of either Al Harrington or Larry Hughes.

The way I hear it, the hold up is a certain chicken and rice stand.
