RicBucher I stand corrected from earlier TV report: Knicks still have shot at TMac, source says. NY deciding on suitable protection on future picks.

    Still not confirmed yet.

The underrated factor in all of this is the sign and trade. Not only do the Knicks have little to offer free agents from a talent perspective, but by trading their next two first rounders to the Rockets (as well as Hill), they have very few, if any tradeable assets to offer other teams. And make no mistake, these guys want to get paid. They want the max, which they can only get through re-signing or a S&T.

NY is poised to get played as leverage all summer long.

If the deal goes through, then I hope you're right.

And while it doesn't seem likely to me, I wouldn't be surprised if this happens. Those two are questionable max players imo and it's not going to be the bidding war around the league for them...at least not to the level of LeBron, Wade, or even Bosh. I could see the Knicks getting those two as probably their best legit scenario. I Wade LeBron duo is mathematically possible, but that would be truly shocking.

I think a T-Mac for Miller, Thomas, and Salmons is better than the Knicks offers. I don't get how a lot of people are so sure that Hill is gonna be good.

I think they are looking at how much Hughes makes compared to Al Harrington. Hughes could be used to pick up someone with a smaller contract but multiple years though.

After this game tonight I wouldn't mind having Hinrich from the Bulls. We really need a SG that can back up at the PG because Temple isn't getting it done. We are so outmanned out there its rediculous. The Bulls offer is looking better.

Yea true that but certainly not a deal breaker plus I have a feeling Morey will finalize things tonight or tomorrow morning so he can do another move before the deadline that may provide the necessary help this season.

Well no **** Bucher. Pull your head out of your ass- you were the only one reporting it wasn't happening and that Mcgrady wasn't ready to play. That usually means something.

    Bad example.

Look at both team's records. Atlanta is one of the East's elite. The Rockets wouldn't make the playoffs if they started today.

I agree with you on this. I think NY is taking a big gamble unless someone has already committed to them that we do not know about. There's a big chance that's the case. It's going to be a very interesting summer...

It's not a bad example. Even last year was the same case. Regardless Houston has a bad fan base when it comes to the arena.

Your saying they might try to trade him less than a day after acquiring him? I don't think that is allowed or possible.

KBerg_CBS Source: Once Rockets receive word on protection, they'll decide between NY and CHI for T-Mac

I don't understand why we don't like Hinrich.

Without a doubt. Chicago is of no use.
