Early version... http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2010/ They got us at #16 taking: Greg Monroe PF/C 19 years old; 6'11"; 240 lbs. Georgetown, Sophomore No 2nd Round Pick (goes to T-Wolves).
Still too early to decide. Post season play can boost a players stock into the top 10 or top 5. Guys in this mock draft like Lance Stephenson, Greg Monroe and James Anderson have another year or more left if they wish to play.
In ford's Mock Draft weave been as high as 12, and we could be higher, pretty much if you don't make the playoffs your'e automatically in the top 14.... And right now Ford has Hassan Whiteside, a big 7'0 with a 7'6 wingspan and amazing athlete with tremendous potential, going 14th <object width="500" height="405"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/CaMy7ErjKdw&hl=en_US&fs=1&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/CaMy7ErjKdw&hl=en_US&fs=1&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="500" height="405"></embed></object> Can you Imagine him in our frontline.... --RB
Greg Monroe should be a top 12 pick with his skill level IMO, fantastic passing ability and passing ability with great mobility, already in the Princeton offense; he would be a fantastic fit with the Rockets. I would love if the Rockets draft him if they don't make the playoffs or move up to get him.
new too board but life long rockets fan and since i live in wv and see alot of big east basketball and maybe its little homer in me but i want 6-7 sg desean butler on rockets team next year i just love his size and game as shooting guard and he had 33pts today against st johns 7-7 3pts 7rebs 6asst and play monday on espn against villanova , hes great guy and great ball player.
i know it's way early to be talking bout the 2011 Draft but we have the Knicks 1st round pick which is projected to be very high. I'm really liking this guy Perry Jones. 6'11 SForward who's game is similar to that of a younger Tmac/Anthony Randophl/ Lamar Odom. This guy looks like a future superstar in the league. http://www.nbadraft.net/players/perry-jones
Dude I know his pretty sick, probably a top 5 pick in the 2011 NBA draft... <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/quxsxSe1YTo&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/quxsxSe1YTo&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object> He's 17 in the video, he reminds me of a more athletic Kevin Durant... --RB
Their draft positions are wrong on draftexpress though. They include playoff teams in the top 14. According to league rules, non-playoff teams are in the top 14 and seeded by record. Then, the playoff teams are seeded in record order. Rockets would be in the top 14, as long as they are not in the playoffs.
In the Morey's podcast he said a lot of players expected to declare in 2011 would actually declare in 2010. If thats the case, a 10-14 pick could still strike gold.
yeah I heard that too on the Bill Simmons podcast with Morey. hope he's right cause if he is the 2010 draft could be one of the best since the Lebron James draft.
Yeah I agree with Morey, a couple of guys listed in "DraftExpress" that are coming out in 2011, might actually be coming out in 2010, players like: John Henson(19) Mason Plumlee(19) Hassan Whiteside(20) Ed Davis(20) Avery Bradley(19) Another incentive for a lot of these players declaring for the 2010 NBA Draft, its because of the possible lock out of the 2011-12 NBA season, Making the 2010 NBA draft a much richer and deeper draft.... Hopefully the draft is deep enough, to where we can land Whiteside (the top prospect on my draft board, besides Wall ) --RB
John Henson isn't ready to come out - doubt he does. Ed Davis probably will come out, with the lockout looming next year. That said, I love my Tar Heels, but stay away from Ed Davis. Might be a solid role player, but never a #1 or a star. Hassan Whiteside is the guy I want. And I want to pair him next to Yao - the new twin towers.
