Well being born in '87 I feel I have no decade to relate to. Is it too early to tell or I am just an oddball?
It's too early to tell. I was born in 1973, but remember the 80s as being the "good old days." In 10 years or so you'll look back on your life and identify with a decade (which movies and music you like best, etc). Give it time, you're way too young to worry about stuff like this.
Amen my friend. How much better were the TV shows then? I'll take Cheers over Friends any day of the week.
Ref and FranchiseB are right on the money with this one. The 80's kicked ass. We had Cheers, Nightcourt, Family Ties, Alf, Airwolfe, A-Team, Knight Rider, Dukes of Hazard, Dallas, Differrent Srokes and of course, Doctor Who. I could go on and on without even getting into the cartoons(which ruled)
You forgot the thing with the Fatman (Nick Penny was in it) and the thing with that robot...(Riptide??). They had different names in Germany, so I don't remember exactly. But that was way better than Knight Rider (although that really did make Hasselhoff a star in Germany for a while... )...
Hold up for a second bud. You can call my moma whatever. Tell me my dog is ugly. I'll be damned, however, if I'll set here and let you'll talk that way about David Hasselhoff. I'm drawing a line in the sand mister.
I was born in 1969. I feel a sense of childhood nostalgia for the early to mid seventies. I also really identify with the early to mid nineties because that was the time I was in college, first met Mr.JB, worked at the school paper, etc... The eighties, on the other hand, were a soul-crushing nightmare that I pray will never come again.
I was born in 1970, and my views are a little different. While some good things did come out of the 70's and 90's, the 80's were definitely the decade to grow up in. Of course, that's just my humble opinion...
No offense, Drewski, how can u identify with a decade during which u were in elementary school and middle school? When I think early 90's, I think Fresh Prince and Jazzy Jeff, and frankly, that's disturbing to me. So far, I'm really liking the Zero's, if that's what u call them.
