GNC is selling Muscle Milk protein for $20... They come in 3lb tubs, but that's still an awesome deal. I just wanted to share with you guys, because times, they are a-hard and the price of protein is ridiculous.

muscle milk or ON 100% whey?

I usually buy a 5 lb tub of ON 100% Whey for $43 or so at vitaminshoppe. Plus, with the 20% coupon I got in the mail it'll be less than $40 after tax.

So what truly is the better deal? If I remember correctly, muscle milk is usually more expensive than the ON 100% Whey. Anybody know why?

Not a fan of MM, but still a good deal. Hopefully it's not the crap flavors :p

Donny, what is lower-cal protein that tastes decent? I've never found one.

Krn, I've heard real good things about Muscle Milk, I'm not entirely sure why it costs more, but it probably has something to do with all the extra ingredients i.e. casein, peptides, etc. Also, if you go for the MM, it'll be 6 pounds for $40, which is pretty damn good haha

Donny, I think it only comes in chocolate, which is my favorite :)

This is also a good choice.

I call MM a "beginner" protein, because a lot of people start out with the fatty/sugary blends because it is all they can stomach.

As you work out more and start trimming up your diet, you can transition to leaner blends, until you ultimate end up at no carbs and no fat...

    Thanks paul.

Chocolate has always been sort of "default" for me. But my most recent flavor has been "Rocky Road" and Manm that stuff is gooood..

I heard Cytosport products 'may' have a carcinogenic chemical in it? It was a few years ago, which is why I made the switch to ON.

Donny, which protein product would you suggest if I am about to go on a MHP Trac cycle, which already has creatine&no2 already built in? Thanks so much.

Muscle Milk has a lot of calories, carbs, and fat, doesn't it? When I read the label on the thing, I thought "no wonder it tastes good". I could be wrong. I bought some Muscle Milk Light in the past and it tasted like a milkshake. I think it's overpriced, though. I bought it when bodybuilding.com had a buy 1 or buy 2 get one free deal going.

MM lite is a decent option for people looking to ween themselves off of super fatty stuff, but IMO, it doesn't shape up in the taste dept.

I've used Isopure and ON a lot and, while the taste isn't quite as good as MM, I couldn't care less. I don't find most of these products to be as horrible-tasting as people say. Of course I try to stay away from the Vanilla flavors as I haven't found a product yet that makes Vanilla taste anything like Vanilla.

Well, isopure is basically the worst tasting protein, but considering the health benefits, it tastes pretty good comparatively.

I hope this helps everyone. I'm not sure when the deal ends, so you might want to get it as soon as you can!
