If we are taking on Jeffries, I suspect there is another deal going down, either we are going after Bosh/Al Jefferson with some combo of Trevor/Scola/expirings or.............we are going to try to send something to Sacramento for Kevin Martin.

If we are taking on Jeffries, there has to be another deal in the works.

The only problem I see is all of the PF's we would have. Landry, Scola, Hill, Jeffries and Harrington. But I could see Harrington at center and maybe trying to deal either Scola or Landry.

So, assuming Hill takes the spot of Hayes in the rotation, we could get...

    Brooks/Lowry
    Ariza/Budinger
    Battier/Landry
    Scola/Dorsey
    Hill/Hayes

What I meant is I wouldn't go as far as to say let's just toss a quality player in Scola (almost a double-double guy) to the side before we can even see what this kid can do.

Agree, it would be no surprise if someone gets moved in a seperate deal.

Yes, I suppose from Les Alexander's perspective its giving away $6.8 million, but for all other purposes there is nothing bad about that.

Yeah me either, I wouldn't mind getting Larry Hughes instead of Herrington, his expiring contract is slightly larger and he fits in at the two guard position(a position in need)....at the very least...

Interesting, but Dorsey is part of the trade, and you dont have Harrington or Hughes listed anywhere in there.. Interesting though

I like it! I believe Al Harrington and Larry Hughes are unrestricted free agents in the summer. Either of those guys would give us a lift and Jordan Hill is a good player as well. We get rid of Cook who contributes nothing and I would like to see Dorsey develop but wont lose sleep if he goes. Tmac gets the spotlight and I wish him well.

    I say do it!

    Morey thinks 3 turns ahead.

he knows about the CBA coming up. THat could effect the Knicks KEEPING talent even if LeBron goes there.

Brilliant move. It's like rebuilding but not rebuilding.

Plus!! You have ammo for Superstar trades or moving up in the draft.

Assuming we get Hill, I can see Scola getting moved as well?

Would be nice to see him actually propel them into the playoffs, therefore screwing the j*zz over.

Then we should hope for a complete meltdown for the Knicks!

Every wannabe "C" that is 6'10" or shorter gave Yao fits. Doesn't mean Harrington can defend the likes of Gasol/Howard/Shaq.

Hill is going to have to work his way up. He'll get minutes, but I don't see Adelman inserting a new guy in the starting lineup once we get him. We know how important chemistry is to Rick.

Also, Landry should never play SF again, get well Ariza...

Hill and Landry could very well be out starters at 4 and 5 by the 82nd game though.

Hopefully it's just the Knicks giving up too soon on the guy, kinda like Boston and Joe Johnson. The guy had 18 and 11 in college, that is a skilled player even if his ceiling is averaging around 10 ppg
