    Lock if already posted, thanks.

Nothing official yet but Cleveland may be very close to acquiring Stoudemire in a lopsided deal(Phoenix mulling over it and "the ball is in their court") so that might throw a wrench into that 3 way trade he had above.

If anything, Washington would demand they get Hickson. Give up your starting PF, get one back. So, the Cavs really don't have anything to offer. Except for maybe Big Z as a rental

Would like to see the rockets pick up another 1st round draft pick somehow in adding another pawn to helping them move up into the lottery in this upcoming 2010 draft.

Boston is after everyone, but nothing substantive.

Oh yeah, Stoudemire and before Butler.

Maybe, Mike Miller (he wasn't part of that deal to Dallas, was he?) and Antawn Jamison, Jamison to Cleveland, JJ Hicks to Washington, Miller to Houston, Ilgauskas to Houston, Cleveland's 1st rounder (probably #30) to Houston.

You'd salvage this season but it seems a lot of throwing contracts around.

In any case, if Cleveland is about to get Amare (big IF), seems Miami would be getting desperate to add some talent if they think Wade could bolt. And seems, too, that Chicago would be ramping up their efforts to dump salaries to make that happen.

Morey's gonna be working them phones somethin' fierce.

This is the kind of crap that the Chron posted all last summer, telling us to wait for the trade deadline. Its basically just fluff, because we are all so itchy. Now we have a lot of articles coming out telling us that we will be waiting till summer...

What will the Org say if/when they strike out this summer.

They've already sat it out. Dallas got Caron, and Haywood, and it looks like Amare to Cleavland is just about a done deal.

If you're not gonna trade Mcgrady (which I think was the plan all along) Then Morey is gonna at least get under the LT.

All this trade hope for us...It's getting exhausting, no?...Wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to wait so long?

And here's the money quote. Let's see if RV6 has the guts to show his face in this thread after posting all those dissertations arguing that Caron Butler is not in decline.

Caron *may* be in decline, but, where's the harm considering he only has this year (half the year) and next year left on his deal?

Josh Howard is on the decline, can't stay healthy, and Butler is tougher than Josh, so it's an upgrade.

Caron on the Rockets would automatically give us a legit scoring 2/3, unlike Shane who can't create his own shot, and Trevor who tries too hard to create his own shot.

he would've been an upgrade, but he is on the decline and not exactly the perfect fit anyway. the mavs were able to beat the rockets offer by lowering the wizards payroll for this season. the rockets are trying to lower their own so they can get under the luxury tax, thus they werent going to take on even more salary.

it wasn't going to work out anyway because of conflicting goals between the wiz and the rox.

They sat out nothing. Dallas was able to get the Wiz to take the pot head off their hands because they offered a player the Wiz wanted while all the Rockets had to offer was their bag of MeMac magic beans.

Who did the Wiz want? Gooden? Doubtful. He's a knucklehead too and the Wizards are trying to repair a tarnished image. Quinton Ross? James Singleton? Who wants them?

They wanted Beaubois. They didn't get him. I'm really not sure what you're talking about.

Appearently they wanted Josh Howard for a rental and the expiring contracts that came with that.

There is no way that knucklehead is in their future plans as they try to repair their image with their fans. They wanted his expiring contract. That's all. No way they take up the option on him next season.

Which means they don't want him as a player, genius.

What would they possibly be renting him for? Their run for the title? At this point, the less talent they have playing the better.
