Not true Mcgrady was playing 5 on 5 before training camp. And wade was playing in some of those games also. There's video of it.

So it may be a little bit more than just encouragement.

Joe Johnson not being a good fit what are you smoking. When Yao comes back we need shooters in the worst way especially one that has good handles and that is fundamentally sound. Our shooters are basically Brooks and Chase.

let's be clear: that's not exactly true.

mcgrady played some basketball when rehabbing with grover. there were even some clips of it posted on this bbs and there were various articles stating mcgrady was way ahead of schedule and already playing pick up games against other nba players who were also working out with grover.

and let's be even clearer: if it was up to mcgrady and grover mcgrady would've played in the season opener.

it was the rockets who held him back. without a doubt they had their reasons but mcgrady's ability/inability to play was certainly not the main one for him not playing.

if the rockets were really commited to mcgrady he could've gotten those 8 minutes a game right from the start. but they weren't because:

    a) les wanted so save some money.

    b) adelman finally had the chance to install his system without worrying about certain players.

    c) morey made the decision that it would be better for the future of this team to develop his assets.

when the rockets overachieved at the beginning of the season mcgrady's career as a rocket was done no matter if he could play or not.

you can argue whether the rockets have chosen the right direction or not but this is basically what happened with mcgrady.

Exactly, Wade's words were "I think he has something left". Something left? Yeah, that sounds real optimistic...
Oh well, I guess I'm just a hater...it's obvious Morey is preventing Tmac from leading us to a championship...

Wade hasn't seen him on a basketball court. Just because somebody can lift weights that doesn't make them a NBA star.

Many high school athletes can lift a dumbbell that doesn't mean they will be the next Lebron, or even the next Darko.

Wade has seen him on the court, During the summer Mcgrady was playing 5 on 5 with Wade, Arenas, Jermaine Oneal.

Now after seeing him play in limited fashion its hard to put much weight behind wade's words. Other than him not really being given much of a chance to prove he had something left.

Wade actually saw him play. I know there was a picture of Tracy McGrady guarding wade or vice versa. They played on the court together. But the haters conveniently forget about that

Believe your own eyes. McGrady struggled running down the court in the games he did play this season.

McGrady lovers back McGrady just like the Francis lovers backed Francis. McGrady's track record speaks for itself. Toronto, Orlando and now Houston. Everywhere he went he had problems with management.

I hope they trade him just so the Rockets and the McGrady lovers can move on and start lovin the current team we have now!

    Wade: T-Mac still got game
    ______

Good, so help us find a team who will trade him for something more than a few scrubs and a bag of Doritos.

    He leaves Atlanta why?

    Josh Smith - 24
    Al Horford - 23
    Marvin Williams - 23
    Jamal Crawford - 29

They'll hand Jeff Teague (21) more responsibility soon too...

Hawks - 33-18. 1.5 back from the Eastern Conference Champs.

The Hawks can offer him a better deal than the team looking to get him away from Atlanta.

I know things don't always shake out the way you would expect them to, and there's still time for extraneous things to take place...but all things staying the same? Joe Johnson belongs in Atlanta.

no, t-mac was doing ball drills and playing 1 on 1 while working out under grover. I believe it was said t-mac even played one on one with such superstars as dwyane wade.....
