    I only know one teenage group of superheroes who could make 'cowabunga' cool:

    Hm...my sister (who lives in Clear Lake) says "riced out" when referring to rides...I say "flossed out" (i'm from the S-LaNd)...

    were we separated at birth? that would explain a lot of things..

    "It's rainin' like a cow pissin' on a flat rock": It's raining very hard.
    "It's drier than a popcorn fart": It's is very dry (usually used for the weather (when it is hot) but can be applied to other things)
    "He/She/It sticks out like a diamond in a goat's ass": He/she/it is very out of place, usually because he is much wealthier than the environment he's in.
    "Six of one or a half a dozen of the other" (though I like to say 'Six dozen of one or half of the other'): It doesn't matter which you choose because they are essentially the same.
    "We'll burn that bridge when we get to it": Not a regionalism, just something I say; means we'll deal with it when the time comes, with the implication that we'll do ourselves a disservice in the process.

    My father is a veritable storehouse of Texanisms. Unfortunately, I don't have his twang or his outgoing manner to really pull them off, so they tend to be forgotten with neglect. I can do "y'all" but that's about it.

    This one is used everywhere.

    I like to say five-by-five, but it isn't really a regional thing. I believe it is a pilot thing, brought to the public by Aliens and popularized by the lovely Eliza Dushku in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Also wicked cool, but I think that is more of a New England thing that has spread everywhere.

    What exactly does "five-by-five" mean? I too always wondered what that meant BUT I was too caught up watching Eliza, aka "Faith", kick Buffy's nice, pretty, hot a$$.....;)

    Hence five-by-five. I guess it would be equivalent, as a colloquialism, to "It's all good."

    here is a Californian saying that has begun creeping around the country. (and yoyu can thank that annoying cartman boy for its spread.

    the term is "Hella"

    several years ago in the Bay area i even heard a kid use the term "hecka" I thought is was cute. he was like 5, and hell being a bad word, the kid just said hecka knowing only the Grated version. ah yes weddings. when you decide that your girlfriend will soon be your x-girlfriend
