Hello to all of you from Slovenia! I see that you are wondering about slovenian fans of Nachbar, so let me say a few things. 1. Basketball is very popular in Slovenia. It is clearly no. 2 sport, after soccer. Slovenia is very small (2 mill. people) country located in central Europe. (Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia are the neighbours). Slovenian basketball programs are very strong at the moment and they are producing a lot of good players. Just to mention a few: Nesterovic (Wolves), Stepania from Georgia (Heat), Brezec ( Pacers), Welsch from Czek rep. (Warriors), Smodis (Kinder, Italy), Becirovic (Kinder, Italy, he will go very high (lottery) in the next years draft, Milic (frm. 76'ers, Suns, Real Madrid, now in Italy) and E. Lorbek (18 years old 7 footer, MVP of recent european championships for juniors. He will go to Michigan Univ., (or is it Mich. State U. i don't remember)), if my sources are correct. 2. Nachbar is very talented player and you now about him alost everything. I would just add that he may be a little hard headed at the times and that may hurt him, but you can also describe that as great determination. 3. Media in Slovenia is not all that hiped with Nachbar, because he is not such a big news in Slovenia. He is not like "the first Slovenian in the NBA". Another important thing, he was out of sight for an average slovenian fan (you can watch very little Italian bball games in Slovenia). And yet another thing. He was a member of Olimpija bball club (the best and most popular team in Slovenia and the only slovenian team that is playing in EUROLEAGUE) for just a year and majority of slovenian fans are cheering for that team. So don't be afraid if there is a little fedback from Slovenia, Nachbar is very good and he can help your team. P.S. sorry, if my english is a bit broken.
Why do people have a problem with ming turning out like Vlade. The guy always seems to make the playoffs. He almost outwitted shaq enough to win in the wc finals. Being like Vlade may not be a bad thing. Nachbar could be a bad man.
