What do you guys think about Slamball? I personally think it won't be that good but i will watch it anyway. Also do you guys know if there will be any former or current nba stars in the show. I think that Pat Croce will be a color commentator. You know that guy who was an owner of the 76ers. He was always energetic when I saw him. Anyways I would like to know what you think of Slamball. It comes on August 3rd at 7c on TNN.
Looks like there'd be a lot of injuries... It's got some serious potential though, real-life NBA Jam.
For some strange reason, I like it. But it does look rather dangerous. It kinda seems like a sport for unathletic people. Imagine if Shaq played? Boy there world be a LOT of injuries then.
oh my god! after 5 minutes, this is hands down the worst idea in sports history... at least the XFL had somewhat similar rules to actual football... but tramplolines? this is nothing but ridiculous pretenders dunking! anyone could do this, all you gotta be able to do is jump on a freakin' trampoline! is that what practice is for these teams? playing in a moonwalk? i'm already prepared for this to be cancelled! edit: how can you rightfully gloat after dunking by jumping off of a trampoline? what kind of skill is that? can people actually be proud of that, especially people who consider themselves to be "athletes!" i'm just in shock at the stupidity of this "game"
i like it. hell, people cheer at turbo doing his stupid tramp act all the time...this is the same thing except its over someone and people can get body checked. sorta hockey/bball hybrid. Looks rough though. Probably just a matter of time before a fight starts. Maybe its just me, but there looks like a lot of strategy can be planned with the trampolines, but the sport probably won't last long enough for any to be developed.
Geez!! Did anyone see that dunk called McNasty by Sean "Inches" Jackson? That was awesome. It looks like an okay show.
Yeah that was pretty sweet. wasn't it a 360/semi flip- between the legs slam? that last block by the little guy...did you see that? He was 10 inches shorter and 100 lbs lighter and he rejected that dude's dunk! you'll sure never see that in the NBA.
b/c the NBA is a legit league that doesn't use props like TRAMPOLINES! after seeing the replies in this thread, i weep for the future of sports.
Add me to the list that kinda likes it. Hey, for an hour on a Saturday night, it's entertaining. I don't think it'll succeed but at least they tried. I want the trampolines in the dunk contest. That'll bring in ratings.
Oh my lord...that looks like the most fun I could I ever have doing ANYTHING. Come on, which one of you wouldn't like to dunk on a rim 20 feet in the air? That would be bliss.
NO kidding...I mean, really...they use trampolines? Jeez, good thing you said that, otherwise I might have wondered why these guys could jump 8 feet and not be in the NBA.. Its obvious you HATE it(like it killed one of your family members or something ), but I and most people here like it. Deal with it.
