Man, that looks bizarre. Is Warrant even still touring? Dig this quote from a 20 questions type deal he did with Metal Sludge..
Metal Sludge is the source of the pic....great site. 2k, you are the man! Btw....Warrant is still touring. They'll be in Houston in early Sept. w/Dokken, Ratt, and LA Guns.
Cool, gonna go to that one just to see Dokken and Ratt.. I wonder if George Lynch is still playin with em... Oh wait, forget Ratt...Robbin Crosby died recently..and I never could stand Stephen Pearcy... edit:Lynch is not with Dokken anymore, he is currently working on the new Lynch Mob album
Warrant played a small club here in Scranton,Pa. about 10 years ago. After the show, Jani Lane was hitting on this girl. Well her boyfriend didn't take too kindly to it, so the boyfriend took Jani outside and beat the living crap out of him. Ahhhh, the life of a rock star
I don't think Steven Pearcy is touring with Ratt anymore. Didn't Metal Sludge ambush Jani while he was cooking/bussing tables at a bar in Ohio?
LOL...that is what I thought he was doing now, at least that is what Jimmy Kimmel, Adam Corolla, Jack Black, Matt Pinfield, and some other dude said he was doing...working as a cook.
The pictoral equivalent of Warrant's musical career. Memo to, uh, Jani, try taking care of the bowel movement *before* you take the stage. "Sheeee's my cherr-rry.....unnnhhh!" I wonder how they manage to do their cheesy metal line dancing chorus line stuff now? Mohaks don't have the same flow. Much love to Metal Sludge...they must have permanent correspondents at State Fairs all over the midwest! Good find, TheFreak!
I am certainly not sticking up for him and his Mohawk, but unlike alot of other 80s groups this guy actually has/had talent. If you like hard rock than Dog Eat DOg and Ultraphobic will fit you greatly. Also they released two songs last year called FACE and SUBHUMAN. Both are great. They got a bad rap due to Beavis and Butthead and that VERY CHEESY Cherry Pie video. I like the heavier side of Warrant, but I really dont like their first album...But I guess you do what you have to do to get a record contract. by the way, he got a bad rap about cooking in the club. The club is owned by Billy Morris, the guitar player in Warrant. When he first bought it he asked Jani to help him come up with a menu, etc.. Jani apparently is a great cook. I guess the double Chin is proof to that
On a whim, I saw Warrant about 3-4 years ago at The Outback Pub on Fountainview. It was a pretty good show. I think the small, personal setting helped alot. Jani wasn't sporting the mohawk back then, but he obviously put on a few lb's.
I cant believe Eric Oswald (aka Jani Lane) and the boys are still playing. I would go to see them with Dokken but since Lynch left things arent the same. he is a bada** on the guitar. Dokken is one of my all-time favorites. Still, its kind of neat to have them around. I remember how cool I thought Warrant was when "down boys' came out, man I feel old.
