Of course the Nets have interest, what losing team wouldn't? Too bad JVG will not show them any reciprocity. Hopefully he'll spend a couple more years being a Rockets homer from the booth.

I think Avery Johnson would be a good candidate to straighten the players out over there. He would do wonders for Brook's development.

Why the hell not? New Jersey will have a top 3 pick this year. They have a lot of cap space for this off-season. They have young talents with CDR, Devin Harris, Brook Lopez and Courtney Lee (and perhaps even Yi Jianlian, depending on what day it is). There's a TON to build around in New Jersey.

Just because they're awful this year doesn't mean they can't be turned around. In fact, they're in a ripe position for just that. That, and they're going to be getting a new arena in Brooklyn.

There's a lot to like with a coaching job in New Jersey, I think.

For each day that passes it becomes more of a grim reality.

The Nets have a young and talented core, if they land a superstar this summer this team can be very good in a couple years.

JVG loves James, if somehow James goes to the Nets, then why not the Nets?

The only way NJ becomes a good coaching destination is if they get REALLY lucky. And by lucky I mean they get John Wall + one of the premium FA.

Their players sucks. I'm sorry, but no matter how young or unpolished they may be, if the players are truly "talented", they're not 4-48(think for a second how bad this is). Their only true young talent is Brook Lopez.

I think most coaches would LOVE to start from the bottom with a big like Brook Lopez as your foundation...

That's not extreme luck. They'll have a 1 in 3 shot at John Wall. They will have enough cash for a premium free agent this summer. There is a very real possibility they get both, and if they do, watch out.

    John Wall + D-Wade + Lopez?

If he takes this job for some unforeseen reason, he would lose all the rest of his hair with that team's lack of defense, effort, and mental fortitude.

i hope the best for JVG, I really like him as a coach and commentater, a friend of mine met him a few months ago and asked him if he was ever going to get back into coaching. He said that he is happy with what he is doing and where he's at, but if a great deal and opportunity came around he would have to really consider it.

Does NJ have someone else's 1st? Because the last time I checked, the worst record only gets you 25% chance.

As for netting one of Wade/Lebron/Bosh, you really think so? They have money, but so do everyone else. I can't imagine them being a favorite to land any premium FA this offseason.
