Knicks' president Donnie Walsh has gone to watch Tracy McGrady workout, and might go see him again before the February 18 trade deadline. Also, it is starting to seem more and more clear that tmac will be in NYC, i think the 3 way trade is going to happen.
The Knicks having interest in McGrady isn't exactly breaking news nor is the possibility of a three-way deal involving Washington.

you are right but walsh going to see means he probably wants him for more than an expiring contract. but I'd like to see what kind of shape he is in.
I think baller states that cause its been mentioned in the 3 way deal thread. Plus the Knicks have had their eye on Tracy's contract since we exiled him from the team.

hope NY signs tmac. if by some miracle, they manage to sign two max free agents in the offseason, tmac would probably sign up for the MLE. lebron, bosh and tmac on the same team? that'd be sweet.

im not sure this means a lot from the knicks' end...there was a report somewhere in here where it said it was Grover who personally invited Walsh out to see tmac...
let me rephrase that, i meant, i dont think this was triggered by the recent trade talks since Grover had already invited him earlier.
i think that's the case. why would he care if mcgrady is still good or not if he only cares about the contract. i think walsh wants to see if mcgrady has any game left and hopefully convince tmac to stay next year for cheap, while the knicks still have the cap space to sign another major free agent.
there was an article earlier that said grover proclaimed tracy is ready and he is ready to let anybody come and watch him work out.
