i'll say a trade goes down w/ Philly Sixers. with the recent loss against them, there's no doubt in my mind that they are really tempted to make moves w/ them.
Well seeing as no one saw the trade that happened last year for Lowry coming... Anything is possible with Morey, so i'm guessing a surprising trade happens. . Lets see if Morey is the genius everyone claims him to be..
I've been hearing too much buzz about Butler+Haywood to ignore it, and involving New York improves its chances of happening. Unlike the Iguodala trade buzz, this is only getting louder at this point.
i'm surprised no one except me voted for the obvious ship brian cook out to avoid the luxury tax trade. that's really a no-brainer... i don't think the rockets will trade ariza. he can't be worth too much right now and the rockets just recently invested in him and the future. there's no point in trading him now. battier on the other hand might be an option to clear cap space for the summer. but it will be difficult for morey to trade him just for an expiring contract. he's worth a lot more to the rockets but i doubt there's a market for him. any mcgrady trade will involve other assets like lowry, scola or landry so technically none of the mcgrady trades in the poll are going to happen.
Butler/Haywood appeals to me somewhat; doesn't exactly make the Rockets a contender, but , seems like an upgrade. TMac is gone anyway, so might as well get something.
I like the Butler/Haywood trade scenario better not on a talent stand point but just on the fact that it doesn't tie the team up with long term money. That Dalembert contract is UGLY!
If we get butler and Haywood that will put us into the playoffs and possible make us a darkhorse contender imo
I fear that will be a fatal mistake. His 4 yr contract, injury history and lack of defense offset his shooting/scoring ability.
