I've never been particularly impressed with Miller.

Nice numbers, but his team sucked.

I'm not really concerned with the Clippers.

Since the Cavs are going for LeBraun James, giving time for Darius Miles the space and time to develop his potential was a good move for them. Think of that team with Miles, James and Wagner on the break! Lethal!

This undoubtedly helps the Clippers in the short term, too..you wonder if this means that Elton Brand won't be resigned, though? Never underestimate Donald Sterling's cheap-ass-ness.

the clippers are just making this trade so they can take next year. I will be very happy if they end up losing the lottery and missing out on James.

I agree with mav3434 about Sterling screwing this all up. They will be a pretty good team for a year or 2 and then start rebuilding all over.

OK, heypartner, a "Jason Kidd" impact trade... much better comparison.I think this WILL help them a great deal, not get them to the Finals, but get them into the playoffs. We'll be there as well, ahead of them of course. Then Sterling will blow it all up, if he doesn't before the season starts.

Never liked him at Utah, thought he went too high in the 99' draft, and laugh when people think his assist numbers are reflective of his abilities as a playmaker.

Time for the curtain to be pulled back, Andre.

Oh my gosh! The Cavs got ripped off big time on this trade. Andre Miller for Darius Miles! Are you freakin' kidding me?? Miller is a top 5 point guard and Miles is a skinny project. The Cavs should have at least gotten much more than just Miles. I would say that Miller for Miles, Maggette, and Ely would have been more fair.

I liked him at Utah. He was a tough player who could post many PG's, rebound as good as any guard and score off the dribble in clutch moments as well.

Miller is a tough kid and I think he will fit nicely on the Clippers whether his assist numbers are inflated or not. He is a pass first PG, is unselfish, and can score baskets off the dribble and in the post when needed. The fact is this guy can get to the free throw line about as well as any PG in the league except for Steve Francis. His shot maybe inconsistent, but it is decent compared to most solid PG's.

I know you're all gonna hate me for this - but I'll put it out there and say the Clippers will finish with a higher playoff seed than the Rockets.

    There.

Let the flame throwing begin ;)

The Clips look like a legit playoff team now. Losing Miles might hurt their energy a little though.

    Ooh ah...

    Wow.

Olowankandi and Brand are a good front court and now they have one of the best PG's to get the rock to them?

    ooh ah

    Q is there?

Oh......they need one stud fill the bucket up scorer (not convinced Q is it) and thats a dynasty in the making...

the clippers did get the better deal. But i thought they were going after b davis, mabe they will trade dre for him? Na. Anyway, this team will make the playoffs, but i don't know if they will be ahead of the rockets. tuff choice. I'll tell you one thing, the west got a lot stronger today. And the odds of Francis making the all star team just dropped a lot.

Maybe. just maybe cle got the better deal. If Miles ends up being the next tracy mcgrady. He has the skills. but does he have the attitude? If he does become great, yeah he might be like marion, and at best like t mac. But its all up to him.

He is only 20, and miller is 26 and he will put up numbers like that for awhile. I think miles will get a hell of a lot better in the future. Kobe, and T mac didn't get superstar numbers right away.

Overall- i say that cle got the bette rend of the deal.(keep the kobe bryant deal in mind while thinking about this.

Well, well......IMO good trade for both teams.
I still have a feeling that the Clippers aren't done in the off season.

    Brand, Miller, Q-Rich......very nice core.

    clips = better than rocks.

    clip-joint lineup number one:

    one: andre miller
    two: q rich
    three: odom
    four: elton brand
    five: kandi

at this point and time, i'd take franchise over miller, but i like the clips' other four better than ours... and that's before we go to... clip-joint lineup number TWO:

one: marko jaric ( like him better than mooch from hype )
two: piatkowski ( eww white guy but like him better than torres )
three: magette ( like him better than our backup three )
four: wilcox ( mo t's better, but wilcox is a mauler )
    five: ely ( ditto )

    clips are gonna roll...

Clippers are significantly better than the Rockets.

Francis-Miller is pretty much a wash but Q. Richardson is an emerging star, E. Brand is already a star, Olowikandi is the 2nd best center in the NBA.

Clips will probably win 45-50 games and the Rockets will hopefully get up to .500 this year. Just being realistic. The Rockets still have a lot of issues.

I hope to be wrong but the Clips just have more talent than Houston and have a floor general now to run the show. If Odom can give them anything, that team is flat out scary.

Sorry guys, but I think Q-Rich has a ways to go before I say he's better than Cuttino.

QRich is a stud. Cuttino is a dud.

Hopefully Q won't be pissed that his boy was traded.

Clippers *on paper* eat the Rockets for dinner. No contest.
