The first time I realized I was aging was when I saw a Playboy Playmate that was born in the 1970's.

What about live music? Dancing and music can be kick-ass... if you let them!

    The more you know.

You're kidding, right? How can you be too old if you enjoy it? As long as I can dance, like the music, and the people are interesting, I'm going out.

Clubs are so damn overhyped. I'm not saying one can't have fun in them (I have), but the club experience itself is so silly.

My first rule is to never go to a club if you don't have an "in." I never understood guys standing in line, and then subsequently paying $25+ cover. I went to clubs every couple of weeks down in Miami when I had a promoter friend; when he left, I stopped going to clubs.

Then bottle service...anywhere from $250-$400 for a bottle (which gets you a table next to...other tables; it's not even the VIP).

And the childish women: I just don't understand women who, typically, dress like absolute sluts, tell themselves that they "just LOVE to dance," and then end up being ****-teases at the end of the night.

Clubs are geared at people who think they'll look cool by spending excessively on nonsense, assuming it's one step closer to getting them laid. Unless you're planning on spending $2000 on any given night, or have a group of girls with you, I'm sorry, you probably aren't getting laid.

I don't want to come across as embittered, but personally, the only reason I drink and go out to bars or clubs isn't to "hang out with my boys" and "chill," it's to go out with the intention of hooking up with a woman (notice how I didn't say "meet").

Clubs, to me, are the worst place to successfully get with a girl. Oh sure, it's not hard to hump-grind your junk on some (likely) syphilis-filled tramp with T-Pain playing in the background, but the second her unattractive "I've-only-had-two-drinks" designated driver c&nt of a friend gets upset and jealous, it's back to square one, with a lot less change in your bank account.

I think I was too old for clubs the moment I was old enough to legally drink.

I hate crowds, electronic music, overpriced drinks and superficial, stupid people. I like bars, and I like live music, but that's different.

How can you choose a club over a pub aussie rocket? I mean in this day and age I can't see the point of paying a $20 cover charge, paying $10 for a beer and listening to crappy music surrounded by a bunch of pill poppers.. just no appeal for me, I guess that means i'm too old!

I'm too old and I have never been a dancer, but I still go sometimes when a girl or a group of people drags me along. I only drink and stare, though. I prefer pubs.

You're never oo old to go clubbing but you can be too old to go to certain clubs. I'm too old to go to clubs with a bunch of 18 and 19 year olds at the club but thats because I'm 30.

Very true. It's too damn loud to lay some smooth on any girl. I had much more luck hooking up at a club during what I called 'meat market', which was picking up a drunk girl outside after the club closed.

Also, never buy a girl you meet in a bar, club, etc., a drink, ever.

    .....

To answer the original question, it's time to stop going to clubs when you see the majority of the people there as 'damn kids'.

I think you can go here every Friday night until you're in your 60s:
