    No, we can't. Broussard has no idea what he's talking about.

    Counting Landry, the Rockets have over $40M in guaranteed salary commitments for next season, all BEFORE including Hayes, Scola, Lowry, Dorsey or our first rounder. That's a maximum of about $11-12M in cap room (after roster charges), and that's only if all of those guys are dumped and the first rounder is traded for a future pick.

    If only Hayes (team option) and Lowry (restricted free agent) are let go, the Rockets are looking at having only about $3M or so in cap room unless Scola is joining them (even then, they only have ~$10M max cap room).

    You know better then me living so close thus I can't argue your point but I will say that only a few weeks back I thought he made some pretty harsh comments about the crowds there? Its a long shot right now but if he doesn't get offered a Max deal then I just threw out that number as being the max dollar amount I think Morey might squeeze out of the team this offseason.

    It's unfortunate guys like Broussard don't do their homework...then you'll have fans complaining this summer about why they ddint sign a max guy or why they didnt do this or that, all because of what they read from what seems to be a credible source/site.

    Probably...

    Off Topic Bima, If the Rox are over the salary cap we still get a LLE in addition to the MLE right?

    Yeah. At least guys like Chad Ford, John Hollinger and Ric Bucher all know the deal with Houston. I've seen each of them accurately depict the Rockets' cap situation as being in the $7-8M range. Still, you don't hear enough from them about the whole "Scola and Lowry will eat all that up if they're kept" angle.

    Basically, yes. The Bi-Annual Exception (commonly referred to as the "LLE"), just like the MLE, is actually available to every team, provided that the team did not use the LLE in the immediately prior year. However, the MLE and the LLE must be waived by a team wishing to use available salary cap room.

    For 2010-11, the Bi-Annual Exception will be $2.08M.

    Would the Wizards be willing to give up Mike Miller on this trade??

    Butler+Miller+Haywood+Stevenson <--> McGrady+Ariza+Scola+future 2nd rounder

    Dont know if Wizards are willing to take Arizas long contract though, so u could replace him with Cook and our TE or possibly Barry's contract (if it can be traded).

    We are in no need to unload Ariza atleast in this scenario. Ariza is a good asset and Scola is better then Butler.

    I hope Butler goes to Dallas where he can be the Mavs's Richard Jefferson.

    I'm sorry. Scola is not better than Caron Butler.

    Oh God.....he almost makes you want to say NO to the deal.

    Can Washington throw in some Gatorade and some towels instead of this clown?
