Imagine Brooks on the Wizards standing next to Boykins. It would be like Mini-Me and Mini-Mini-Me.
a mod need to change the title to Woj@yahoo sports reporting this. he has been dead on thru this whole saga.
the fact that is now a 3 team deal and not a two team means we should have to give up as much....i believe thats the reason why they pursued a third team
hmm. you have a point. but I always feel that winning championships is difficult without a clutch assassin. Yao is unreliable (durability-wise) and I am not banking on him to come back strong. Butler is a lil injury prone. there is also the Lowry/Scola signing in question. in short.. a lot of things have to go right if we have to contend. but lets see how it goes
houston already said they would not take james back, so i really doubt that will happen... for some reason i think dorsey will be part of this deal...maybe not the only other rocket to go, but one of them.
This seems like a Morey-type deal. Butler expires next season along with Yao and Haywood expires this season. That gives Morey more chips to play with next season.
Not bad, we get Butler and Haywood(though I remember seeing Haywood quite a bit....and I still think he sucks) and Tracy gets to go to NYC one of the biggest stages in the NBA(though the team sucks). MSG baby.
Thats is the full article. And yes it says clearly that the deal will not go down with just those names more players will be attached for it to work.
This is all part of a plan so we can do the same thing at the trade deadline next year. Trade our expiring salaries for the newly signed free agents.
Dont think that makes us a contender, but I guess it puts the best team on the floor while still setting us up for the new CBA. Makes Trevor Ariza our highest paid player going into new CBA though =/
