He works just as hard as anybody on the rockets. He's a not a great post player but is better than scola at defending the post, and without D there's no Offense. Landry still has time to develop his D more and oh yeah his offense too which just makes you wonder how good he's going to be in a couple of years.
I agree that Scola's defense is better than landry's. The "not true" was referring to the claim that scola was good on both ends..which is certainly not true..He is below average at best.
We must have different definitions of post player, because I am pretty sure Landry is the best we have with Scola being right behind in getting points in the paint and manning the post. Man, another weird one. Scola has struggled recently, but usually, he has been one of our most consistent offensive players.
Not in recent years my friend. Who did the Raptors get for the Vince Carter? trade, who did the Grizz get for Gasol? Who did the Lakers get when they traded Caron Butler.
When I say below average I mean on defense. I said he's not good on both ends..meaning he can be good on one end..his defense is not good..I agree with you on the offense.
"Hes not a great post defender" he isn't compared to the PFs in the league. And after tht I said he's better than Luis(if u double check)and anyways the best post defender on the rockets is Chuck.
Perhaps Scola is a little bit exhausted because of many international games during the last offseason. He really didn't get much rest at that period. This guy almost don't have any injury history, maybe the healthiest player of Rockets. I firmly believe he will be getting much better for the next season. I still remember Scola made the 13-0 start during one of the playoff games vs Lakers last season.
