I will never be in favor of tanking. This is the team that surround Yao next year. They need to learn how to win in different game conditions. Tanking doesn't teach that. If there's a trade, the new teammates will need the rest of the season to acclumate to each other. Again tanking isn't an option.
Tanking is not an option now, if you are eliminated from playoffs with 5 games to play, its ok to play not with the starters and give the younger players to play more an develop, but ONLY IF you are already eliminated, if you are not eliminated, you keep pushing and try to win every game.
Tanking is pathetic. It's not indicative of the heart of a champion. It's amazing that so many people here don't get that, and believe that taking this shortcut would actually help the team, even though all it buys you is a chance to roll the dice on an unproven player. For this, folks are willing to sacrifice their pride. Amazing. Do these people approach life in general this way? Show some heart, people.
So the Houston Rockets did not have the heart of a champion when we won those championships in the mid-90s? Because, you know, we tanked for Olajuwon.
Has it been mentioned in this thread that the OP is the whack with his inside crap post from a few weeks back?
OMFG can you people get the flip over it, it was all fun and games! some people saw the funny side of it, some people thought it was entertaining, i for one did to, the thread had 20+ pages of people contemplating what might we do, its so boring waiting for a deal to happen! CHILL THE F**K OUT!
