I just don't see how any part in the Sixers lineup fits. I'm yet to be sold that AI is the part we need. If we are going to stick with Brooks and trade T-mac only we need a similar player. A guy that can create and be a triple threat by himself. AI is not a triple threat, his just a slasher.

Smith is right IMO. Philly is going nowhere with Igoudala as their main guy. He may be successfull as the 3rd option.

So for them, the best move is to just tank and try to win in Draft and get some money back. Than see what you can get in free agency.

This deal looks fair to me.

No he said he would love to finish it in Philly. Please stop making it look like Tmac is actually going to miss Houston.

That Philly team is going nowhere, but I'm starting to lose some confidence. Don't think we'll get Iguodala, though I'd love to see him in a Rockets uniform. Can we not just do a Iggy/Dalembert/Speights trade of McGrady/Cook/Lowry? That works just fine. Would hate to lose Lowry, but Conroy could hold it I guess. Then Llull sometime in the next two years. Maybe instead of Speights, they throw in Williams or Holiday.

Bingo. Rockets don't seem too interested in him or don't seem very hard in trying to acquire him. Too many other teams ahead with what appear to be better offers? (Cleveland,Dallas,Phoenix all pushing to him)

Could be we aren't pushing real hard for Iggy, but then again, maybe Morey's keeping a tight lid on everything, while we don't have friends-who-know-somebody posting about every phone call between this team and another.

Didn't the "loose lips sink ships" thing help kill our deal to get Brandon Roy?

Could be the info that gets "leaked" was supposed to be leaked.

Could be that we still have 10 days of posturing ahead of us. "We might not trade Tmac." (True, Bull; but we might---thanks for posting the misinformation.) "We here in the 76ers organization might not want to gut the team for a giant expiring." (Mostly BS; you just want at least a face-saving Chase Budinger and to see if you can flush Brand and Lou Williams, too.)

And, after all that I just wrote, could be that we have a-whole-nother deal that has nothing to do with Philly, Washington, or Chicago.

This is probably accurate, we'd be taking on tons of salary and lose all flexibility, we'd most likely lose Scola + Lowry in the offseason, pay millions for being over luxury tax, and also lose an asset or 2 (Chase, 1st round pick?)...All in all, this is a hefty price to pay for Iggi imo. I say if Phoenix wants to be tied up with those contracts knowing all this, let them. We should concentrate on other deals, and if nothing gets done, try to move other pieces to clear more space (Battier or Ariza?) while getting some picks of our own.

I am starting to get the feeling Morey is going to shock the Rocket universe if not the world by doing something out of left field like Monta Ellis or Rubio. The Iggy deal seems a lot like Roy Halladay in MLB where the Blue Jays wanted the moon and the stars and it cost them in the long run. Philly should just get rid of the burdensome contracts and start over with a nice high pick, FA signing and smart front office moves but instead decided to get greedy and go for a Herschal Walker type deal, bad move IMO

A little feigen update. Did not see it posted. He thinks Iggy is most likely scenario, but thinks there is a deal we have no idea who it is as of now.

Little surprised he thinks Iggy is the front runner but like I mentioned earlier I get the sense the eventual trade will be something no one could have imagined.

Ellis, Biedrins, Randolph, and GS's first and 2nd rounders, for McGrady, Andersen, and our first and 2nd rounders.

I'd love this, but why would the Warriors do this?

You're more up on this than me, but, if a team is being sold, wouldn't they want to retain their best assets (including draft picks) to be more attractive?
