So you would support a regulation outlawing chaplains and religion in the military then?

So your big thesis is that gay people are unnatural? Leaving aside the amusingly clichéd nature of that argument, there is ample indication that homosexuality is an adaptive response. So if I show it to you then you will change your tune, right? Or are you just rationalizing after the fact to fit your own personal biases?

And if you showed equal respect to all human beings and not discrimination and disgust, I would be glad to treat you like an equal member of the human race as well.

Bigots, however, get ridiculed as they deserve.

what do you think? cmon now really... dont ask dont tell

    do your job

guess it depends on what you think natural is right?

its like you arent getting that i have no problem with gay people at all, i dont claim to know why people are gay, whether it ends up being genetic or a choice or whatever, doesnt matter to me, to each his own but dont ask dont tell at work

to get graphic though, whats adaptive about girls licking eachother or guys poking eachother in the pooper? lol

not really essential for survival ya know?

again, to each his own but i dont see how that can even be brought up in the sentence with melatonin in the skin because of the sun

i mean really? and ive seen several articles about it being possibly genetic but at the end of the day, if it is, what function does it have?

just saying... think what you will but if somethings going to put a bunch of people in a bad spot and it can easily be avoided without harming ANY parties, avoid it... you guys are WAY over complicating this

Gee. You start by saying you don't hate homosexuals, and then go on an extended rant about why you hate them and how unnatural they are and how they make you sick when they do gross things with each other. Everything you write indicates how you feel about homosexuals. There is no need for you to articulate it directly, even if it would be more honest.

    Oh and... try this.

If anybody is divisive is is Christian fundies. So, I ask you again, for the second time, will you support don't ask don't tell for all religious thought in the military?

it should be clear by now that i think it should be dont ask tell for the religious stuff and the sexual preferences and anything that could cause issues,

absolutely, like ive said, i think that is the MOST fair way, there is no way you can make everyone happy, it doesnt happen, this is the most fair way

and you can read what you want from it but when u say natural thats just wide open for interpretation, i could care less either way, no matter what natural is to you

i love all people for what they are, to each his own, for the sake of debate i totally see a lot of peoples point about the dont ask dont tell, it was a compromise years back, nothings going to be perfect, but for the most part keeping your mouth shut works

i can totally see how you need me to be the gay hater for this to make sense to you but thats not at all the case, its just very simple to me, it should be dont ask dont tell

if they can get the job done with a pecker and a vag, or a sex change or being gay, cool ...

    dont ask dont tell

again, life isnt fair, this is the most fair option, deal with it

Just checked Google scholar. There were no articles with that subject. Not very many scholarly articles would use a loaded word like "sham" except in quoting popular opinion. I also checked "Global warming hoax" with similar results.

Now, there are very many decidedly unscholarly books that say "global warming is a sham" - books written by economists and oil company employees. But like I said, not really any genuinely scholarly scientific ones.

You think gays serving openly in the military is a problem because it goes against some people's core beliefs. Well, it goes against my core beliefs (and those of many other people, including many Christians) to force people to hide/lie about who they really are when they want to serve their country. Why don't you respect our position? Why do you think it's ok for us to be "uncomfortable" but not for anti-gay religious fundamentalists?

Mocking a truly disenfranchised group only speaks directly to your character. Thinking it's genuinely amusing or endearing betrays your stupidity.

Don't Ask will be repealed by Congress; and dismissed by the American people: not out of any affinity for gays, the military or even equal rights, but out of sheer embarrassment for infants like you.

I'm willing to bet that I know orders of magnitude more than you, and my experience matches with Cannonball's statements.

I'm willing to bet that you do.

and I really don't care if your anecdotal evidence is contrary to mine.

    That's awesome.

You realize that you are making your blanket statements on the basis of extremely limited anecdotal evidence, but you don't care, you know that all homosexuals are up in your face about being gay.

You should run for office. You have a bright future with the Republican Party. Maybe you can tell us about black people and fried chicken thanks to that guy you saw in KFC the other day.

I live in San Francisco.. and I know more gay people than you do.

If you are pretending that gay people don't openly talk about whether they are tops or bottoms.. or gossip with the ladies in the office about men.. then you really don't know many gay people.

Many people with all sorts of different born disabilities are denied military service.

    Yeah...

My wife hosted a stage at the Pride parade for the past 3 years, and worked an open mic night at Chances for like 5 years. I don't think we really have any friends who aren't gay.

I'm thinking you shouldn't be so sure of yourself.

Oh, and my experience is that everybody in San Francisco is an @sshole. Straight and gay alike.

And I'm sure that gay soldiers in the military certainly wouldn't talk about sex anymore than straight soldiers. That would be damn near impossible. But in both instances they talk among themselves and they certainly don't search out the fundies and force them to listen to the lurid details of their sex life.

Left handedness could be considered a born disability too. Left handed people have to make huge adjustments in the military etc. It's not hard concept, even for a self-absorbed fruitcake dipship like you. It's good to see your ego is still getting around just fine.

    boom! anecdotal evidence prevails!

meh, it also appears (according to your anecdotal evidence) that republicans are racists.

    next.
