Keeping his mouth shut, doing what team doctors told him and doing everything he can to play his best basketball for the team. I can't imagine Yao ignoring orders to play through his pain.

Yeah and he played with a broken foot against Chicago. You're just proving the fact the rockets medical/training staff sucks.

Tmac couldn't even do a break away dunk.

It sucks if can't get anything for him. RA and morey should take some heat if they have nothing to show for tmac.

He was discusted because he made a monkey wrench of himself wanting to prove 'critics' wrong that he will return back to elite status and Rockets sent him home in embarasement.

Rockets went out of their way and even gave him a choice. Rockets have plans to move forward and save him an embarsement and he is disgusted about it. There trying to establish a team, he is more concerned with trying to establish himself.

The problem with McGrady is that he obviously is not up to his previous form and his skill set without his natural talents, are not going to cut it for the team, when those minutes can go to someone younger.

They were trying to bring him back slowly but McGrady wanted more minutes, the fact is, his in game performance didn't warrant it. Outside of one game against he Clippers, he couldn't hit more then one bucket a game. I know 7.5 minutes isn't a lot, but all the Rockets did was give him opportunities to show he can score or get to the FT line and he couldn't. Add in the fact, defensively he was non existent to the point of the Rockets at times losing 10 points when he was out on the floor.

It was obvious he wasn't even 70% of the T-Mac of old, just because the team didn't give him the option as they did last season of deciding when and where he showed up, you can't put that on them, when giving McGrady more minutes only benefits McGrady getting more rehab work.

I really don't feel any sympathy for the guy. He's done it all to himself. The organization owes him nothing.

What's he crying about anyway, he's still the highest paid player in the NBA.

Exactly. He is more concered about contract status, Rockets more concerend about playing as a team and moving forward. He was more concered about establishing himself. He even canceled himself out for the season last year, then comes back and said he wants to prove critics wrong that he can still play. What does that tell people? A guy making that kind of money should be ready to play every season. He came back 50% last season and did not go through any treatment. He said he is still young still and can play. Sounds like to me by all his actions he wanted out of Houston the last 2 seasons. Rockets gave him a choise and he choose to be traded. So he is disgusted as the result.

Steven A Smith or who ever is a idiot. guy needs to get his facts straight before he starts talking 'as if' Rockets organization sucks.
