just saw read this on espn...

"16: Houston's 119-107 victory Tuesday night over Golden State halted a run of 16 consecutive games for the Rockets decided by fewer than 10 points. That was the longest streak of its kind in a whopping 27 years, dating to 1982-83 when Indiana played in 20 consecutive games decided by 10 points or fewer."

I decided to see what our W-L record was and we were 7-9

hopefully these close games will be a learning experience and help us win close games in the future

That's some stat. The Rockets don't sustain their level of play very well. It seems like when the 1st unit plays poorly, the 2nd unit plays well, but when the 1st unit plays well, the 2nd unit plays poorly.

The talent gap just caught up to the Rockets - guys were going 100% early in the season but eventually it's hard to maintain that effort and it falls of even against sub par teams.

Thats weird to say but pretty true. Which reminds me of last year, if Yao was out for an entire game we played fine (Lakers series) but if Yao came out of a game due to foul trouble or fatigue we couldn't do a damn thing offensively until he came back in. Like this team just can't implement two personalities off and on throughout at a game... find a way Rick.

    This is true and normal.
When people cheared for wins over Lakers without Yao in the playoff last year and began to think Rockets is better without Yao, they just forgot a simple fact - there are 82 games during the regular season with many back to backs. Such great energy and effort in the playoff games vs Lakers cannot last long.

It is hard to win in NBA having to play a flawless game every night. That's why you have superstars to carry a team when the rest of the team couldn't produce.
