I used to love playing Hardcore on World at War and on cod 4, but I cant stand it on this game. Seems like they all put on silencer and cold blooded and just camp like their is no tomorrow. Too much camping going on and no action
That is a map made for only certain games because it is so small. It is this games version of Shipment from COD4. I have not even played on it yet. A glitch that is ruining the game. It gives the player the ability to call an unlimited amount of carepackages. For instance, I was playing Search and Destroy yesterday. The guy with the most kills on the other team had 6 yet called in 13 carepackages. I don't mind camping, it's the corner camping that I hate. When people sit behind a dumpster that is not a strategic location, but a place where you can just sit and just not die. It's tough and really only works well on certain maps. The best one is probably Highrise. With my Riot Shield, I use the throwing knife, and the first launcher as my secondary weapon. For perks, I use the one that extends your melee reach and hardline. There are certain times where you just need to rush people, particularly if you get stuck with a semtex. Charge the guy who through it and make sure he does too. If you squat are and charge and opponent, you can get the kill because a lot of people do not know how to defend themselves against the shield. It is not a weapon where you are ever gonna get 20+ kills, but I can consistently get 17-9 on certain maps.
Hmm.. haven't played in about 3 weeks but I was in love with hardcore because of the diversity of tactics. You had some guys using the shield running up on people, others actually sniped, etc... maybe things have changed?
You guys complaining about the lag and being killed after you have taken cover... dont you think taht they are just shooting you through the walls? I kill guys through the walls all the time.
No, because when you die, you revert back to where you were 3 seconds before your death. SOmetimes I am certain I am in the clear only to find out I had been shot 3 steps previous to what was on my screen.
Seems that way to me, or could just be the lobbies I was thrown into when in went into Hardcore games.
<br> There is another glitch where basically you use an smg(lightest gun) along with marathon, lightweight, and commando. Then set your killstreak reward to care package. After you get a care package, don't call it in, but keep the marker up and in your hand (so you can't use your gun). Then, start running around and knifing. You'll be going super speed and will be able to knife anyone if you use just a little bit of common sense and don't run head on into people.
Wow all these glitches. Is it that bad? I was about to pick the game up from Frys today. On sale for 44.99. I missed all the 39.99 deals
not bad at all, very few people that i play against use glitches, i actually cant think of anyone using any of the glitches on me. Its bad when it happens but rare enough where you can just blow it off. Definately pick it up, one of the best games i have played.
That's what I am talking about, how do you charge? I mean I watch people kill me with the riot shield sometimes and I just can never replicate it.
Never charge while you are out in the open, it has to be done in relatively confined placed (that is why highrise works so well). You have to get a guy on a 1 vs. 1 situation or else another opponent will just flank you from the side. Also, hit melee before you think you should. The shield has more range than you think. You need to stay low too. When you start charging, stay squated and just walk towards the opponent. The will usually put a clip into the shield, so staying low will usually prevent a direct hit. When the enemy goes to reload, stand up and rush at him at full speed and like I said earlier, swing at him before you think you are close enough. In harcore it is rampant. People corner camp and then just dump care packages all day. It is a HUGE problem.
It is real bad, I think I am done playing this game till they fix this glitch. People camp to get 4 kills or 9 kills than call in thirty care packages. Eventually it starts getting ridiculous with like 2 pavelows, and 2 harriers in the air. I hate using the cold blooded perk but that is the only way around them. But I am sure once InfiniteWard finally fixes this perk another glitch will sure to follow, just like when they fix the javelin glitch.
to the above two posters: I was actually talking about the thing where you can use the carepackage marker to go super speed with lightweight+marathon+commando. It's cheap, but most people can't use it right. As for the real care package glitch, ehh. Just kill them faster
I always get a laugh when I run into a person with the shield during a 1 on 1 situation. I feel like there is this awkward moment of about 2-3 seconds where neither of us move and its like a "oh crap, what do I do now?" situation. Then, after some time has elapsed and we have both been standing there like 2 idiots looking at each other, someone makes a move.
Yeah but running around super fast doesn't even nearly bother me as much as getting 40 care packages for only getting four kills. Anyone can camp at a certain spot and eventually kill 4 people running by them without seeing them. Is it my fault that people launch their care package, I kill them then two to five seconds after they respawn be able to throw 4 more care packages? I hate it when my own team glitches because then when I actually get an air strike, harrier, or hellocopter, I can't use it because people have theirs up. When I see my team is glitching I simply wait and steal the "free" care package. But that glitch has gotten way too out of hand.
Yep I always see them as free kills but I do spend a few seconds to think of the best way to kill them. Shields are great but I don't use them.
